Kinda hard to buy Christmas presents all made in the US, I don't like outsourcing either but most of my stuff is bound to have a few China and India in it.

Ignore the name, it was an honest question. I suspect not, but I promise you 50% or more of your items in your house is from China.

You can also check my posts, and then you can come back and I will accept your apology, happens all the time when people don't recognize the definition of ironic.

Nice house, but I'm sure you have bought something from China at one time or another and didn't even realize it.

Well of course we all have, hell I probably bought somethin recently from China, and that was my point to begin with. Towards the end of the race Mitt flip flopped and said we need to stop outsourcing to China.

Yes we do, but him buying a toy car that just happened to be from China, doesn't mean he still doesn't. I'm not for Mit at all by the way, hate being biased. I can see the humor in it but not much when you look at the big picture.

Not being able to buy american products so easily makes me sad. Once we became a global economy all hell broke loose. We are seeing american jobs being shipped away for the sake of a buck. "All mighty dollar". Anyone know when outsourcing started, under who's administration? My instincts tell me reagan, but it may have started earlier then that. I agree if Mitt loves america like he says he does, then he should go out of his way to buy american made products, he has the money to. The common person is going to buy a spatchula made in china for 99 cents vs a spatchula made in usa for $3.99. I mean who cares if the spatchula from china leaks toxic oils when heated lol.

way back in the 60s probably before that
In the 70s the fear was the Japanese. My father was telling me all our jobs were going to Japan. i told him not to worry. The Japanese would lose all there jobs to china. And that's not so bad. One of these days all the chinese will lose their jobs to indians and pakistanis. And if the Right wing gets their wish all those jobs will come right back here when we make slave wages

Wow I didn't realize outsourcing goes that far back. With technology on the rise and developing countries becoming more advance, seems outsourcing is easier then ever. No wonder why people are scared to lose their job. My girlfriend works for a market research firm and their programmers are in india. It is funny because they are hard to understand and they are sending program codes that don't work sometimes. She comes home all frustrated, and I ask her why don't you hire a in house programmer? I forgot what she told me. I will ask her again. I would be crazy to live through a time period where the middle class had a glimmer of hope and everyone could make a decent wage to a country where barley anything is being made here anymore. Not your mammy and pappy's USA anymore.
