whens a good time to mist??? i was thinking the same thing mist in the morning and the lights will burn the leaves with water on them. so you cant mist during lights on........ well if you mist when lights are off isnt that a chance for mold and fungus ???? and should i just use ph water or is it ok to use the nut ph water that i feed my plants ??

I have always misted mine when the lights are on but ive always heard that it will burn the plants,, but never did,, so go ahead and mist with PHed water and just keep an eye on them,,, if you see them getting burnt then stop.......:weed:

ya dont mist when the lights are gunna be on but you can put like a damp sponge on a plate in your box that will work a lil try that see what kinda hum levels you get from that

Im a noobie but from what Ive read on this forum in regards to the main topic is the following:

Mist during lights on & place a fan close to the plant. But try "boneyshapeyes" method first.

it wont dry quick enough if you have even close to what kinda lumes//watts your sposta have the droplets will collect the light energy and start 2 burn or spot you plant after it dries even dont mistyour plants when your lights are on mist an hour or so b4 or after or use the very damp sponge trick

I mist all the time, and never have any issues... I have three plants (now about 17" tall) and a 150watt HPS

I think what makes big difference is fan/air flow... I have my small 7" fan right by the top of the canopy... I'll mist all nice and good, then a couple minutes later they are dry from the fan... win/win?

well reli if all u need is constant humity try a sponge it will have the same humity much longer than just misting it get like a sea sponge the kind a hermitcrab uses works better and no chemicals in it like a sink sponge u can get them in like a bath and body store/ walmart/ any store that sells body products like target even i think has em

I mist around the soil and the underside of the leaves quite often. Only about one/two sprays each time though. I dunno, I've always had problems with underwatering and never overwatering...so far misting hasn't had any bad effects.

i thought mine would burn too, but i mist them pretty regularly and if you notice burning, just switch to spraying the bottom part of the leaves, spray from the bottom up so your not making a magnifying glass laser beam on top of your leaves, but under my 250w metal halide for veg its never a problem, and i dont mist my flowering plants under the 600w hps cause thats just too intense, just watch your ladies and decide what you need to do
