Not sure I agree with you there. I mist my seedlings, and yes - I start them under a 1kw MH. No issues whatsoever. Only downside is the cost of electricity. Up side is that they get lots of light. You've got to know how to water, though, and misting is part of the equation. Misting anything but a seedling is just asking for mold troubles in my opinion.
