miracle gro 4 nutes

im on my second grow and miracle gro has been doing me justice. I only have a small area to work with but the results are good for what i need. Ive been using miracle grow annual blooming for the flowering stage and all purpose for vegging. Here are some buds about 7 weeks into flowering

Miracle grow is only okay for cannabis plants but be sure to flush the plants at least 7-10 days before harvest to clean them as I have heard some horror stories about people getting sick after smoking plants that have been poisoned with miracle grow. There is a reason you never see miracle grow in cannabis grow shops, It's shit. You're better off with some of Fox Farms great nutes especially for blooming or similar nutes designed for cannabis plants.

The only thing I have read about mg is that it is too "hot" (npk levels are not ideal) for cannabis. Flower phase likes 10-30-20 (npk).

Your plants look nice and healthy.

you know my old man used to swear by it but only for veggies, and he flushed them before harvest but u could still taste a hint of it in every piece of food we ate. so yes it will work but its not advised for cannabis growing. flushing is definitely advised when using MG...

Here we go...The MG is bad or good thread agian..

I've used MG products from day 1...MG soil, MG perlite, MG nutes..and MG Tomato Big Bloom works great for flower, I use the MG Houseplant food and the MG Cactus Plantfood mixed for different times in veg because of the NPK values in each. I didn't flush my last plant but just finished curing it and "choke choke" it tastes good and fucks me up, and no little crackles and pops from chemical nutes either....not saying don't flush, but it's a preferemce like anything else...JUST MY OPINION...good luck and use what works for you

This is a touchy subject. First off I use AN 3 part. MG can be used with great results. The key to using these types of "off the shelf" nutrients is to have control all the time. A decent ec/ppm meter is a valuable tool when venturing down the cheap nutrient road. I have experimented with many brands over the last twenty years and if you know what ratio's and range of ppm your looking for, they all give decent results. AN works great for me not because its the BEST but it give ME the best results for my style of growing.

Oh yeah...looks good man and the last bud looks ready man, how long they been flowering?

no foliar spraying from me, those are just the tricomes. I believe im in the ninth week of flowering now, there almost ready but with the magnifier i can still see a lot of clear tricomes, giving the appearance of wetness

you give the absolutely most misinformed bs I ever seen...go learn something before regurgitating bs...like any pollen will seed a mj plant doesn't have to be mj pollen...WTF?
MG is made of salts just like AN or any other fert...it gives no taste and flushing plants doesn't do anything but cause deficiencies...yeah you grow...bullshit

so very correct...a salt is a salt regardless the bottle it comes in...I also agree that MG does a great job just need to watch overfeeding as this is what I see most that try MG do...overfeed...basically a noobie mistake of thinking more is better...when less is best is the way

And yep AN works for you cuz it is what you know...and hey when something works stick to it you know?

so would epsom salt be a good nutrient to try to incorporate salt into the diet

epsom salt will provide sulfur and mag...all ferts are salts whether N P K or any others...has to be to dissolve and be uptaken by the plant

See the cannabis industry is a niche market, and when you have a niche market comes niche products, and people feel special when they use these niche products, and they start thinking that this little niche market is all there is in the whole world. But when you step back you realize this niche market is just part of a another huge niche market called AGRICULTURE. Damn this blue dream has me all introspective lol
my EC meter was the best 25 bones i ever spent! See you got ppl who dont mind dishing out the bones too use these niche products, and yeah some develop a god complex, then you got the middle of the road guys using miracle grow, good for you! And then the other extreme you got guys like churchhaze(he knows his plants! gotta love him) who if you can actually believe this, feeds his plants industrial chemicals!! Im suprised his plants didnt die outta sheer terror when brought that 50lb bag of calcium nitrate near them!!

can i use mirical grow the one with 6 month food??

Hi guys. Long time lurker, but recently signed up. I always love Miracle Grow threads. I don't grow currently, but when I did I used MG. Most of their product leave alot to be desired for flowering. As everyone has pointed out you'll almost certainly end up with a calcium, magnesium or magnese deficiency. BUT, they do have a product that I discovered on my last grow. It's Miracle Grow Tomato, Fruit and Vegetables Plus Calcium. It has less N than most other MG nutes at 9 (I think it's 9-4-12 off the top of my head), but it's also like 3.5% cal, 2% mag, 2% magnese, and a bunch of other good stuff too. I avoided it for a long time because it's actually not a water soluable technically.....it's a shake n feed type where it's little pebbles coated with the nuted for time release. But as I got more comfortable with growing and was willing to experimenting with nutes, I decided to try and make a "tea" out of the shake n feed since it basically had everything I was looking for. I put 2 of the miracle grow tea spoons (indoor size) worth into a gallong of hot water and let it steep over night. I strained the pebbles out the next morning and fed this rich, mud colored "tea" to the girls who all had the little brown calcium deficiency spots. I also saved a bit for foliar feeding the next night just before the lights went out. Not only were all my issues cleared up within a few days, but immediately the plants reacted positively to the feeding. The buds atarted bulking up literally the next day. Though who knows, that could have been phychopsomatic. They would have perked up with just water, I'm sure. lol. And while I don't grow weed anymore, I still make my Miracle Grow Tomato Fruit and Veggie Plus Calcium Shake n Feed "Tea" (though more concentrated) for my tomato and various pepper garden. They absolutely LOVE the stuff, and so do my strawberries. It's the only MG nute product that I would suggest for the full life cycle of cannabis.....well, I have no exp with their organics line, so I can't comment on those. I just wouldn't use it as suggested though, as a time release shake n feed product. Make a tea out of it as you would with typical MG (just a bit more effort with the warm water steep and strain). Another positive is how much you get for like $11. 2 years later and that same container is STILL feeding my garden, lol. And as long as it stays dry, I don't think it can go bad. Sorry about the long winded first post in an older thread. But I've been wanting to mention this product in a few other threads as well. If I decided to grow herb again, I'd use it for sure. I'm no pro, and I'm sure it's not ideal. But if you need an off-the shelf maracle grow product, it's the best one imo.

Pretty sure calcium nitrate is what they use in fertilizer or "nutrients". most likely your feeding "industrial chemicals" to your plants as well.

Everyone is buying the same thing. Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Sulfur etc.. It just depends on how much youre willing to pay for the packaging. The plants dont care if it comes from a feed store, home depot or a hydro store.
