Minisplit Temp Change with Lights off

ok, so im looking into a minisplit for a new grow,

I want to have a 10 degree drop in temps when the lights go out, As an added benefit the a/c will run hard after the lights off to reduce the Humidity.

It looks like most Minisplits don't have the ability to set times and temperatures like a normal Programmable T Stat in your house.. or am I missing something?

thanks, seems a little pricey just to do what a $30 Tstat does at home depot. Any way to integrate a Minisplit to be controlled off of a Grow controller like a Sentinal?

A minisplit that powers back to the previous setting after a power outage would be controllable via a relay installed on the power feed. You could set it to high cool and then connect the relay coil to your desired thermostat / environmental controller.

Or install a dehumidifier in the room, then just let the AC do its thing.

IMHO a 10 degree drop when lights are off could be just the opening powdery mildew is waiting for.

Keep humidity under control.

Remember, given the same h2o quantity in the air, lower temperature equals a higher relative humidity.

Also your dehumidification, relying on condensation in the AC or dehu coils will be less effective at removing moisture from cooler air.

A double whammy that could cause issues.
