So I checked the babies just now...the PW did this overnight. May be nothing, but I dont think so...Erkle perhaps? It looks so much brighter in real life for some reason. Those bulbs are close together so it may throw it off a bit as well. I double-checked my rez just in case and everything was good. I'm gonna dilute it a bit, but that's about all. Everything has some growth going on underneath and new roots have to be close to filling out the bottoms of these netpots. A couple more weeks and I'm throwing each of them in their own bucket for the veg process and the training. I wont know anymore until then

So far in my grow, DM is the clear winner. But as my GF says: the proof is in the buds!

Minz: I am subscribed over here! Like your setup.. I am thinking about getting a 400 hps myself.. if I can find room to cram it in my tent.

So I'm starting to worry too much about my BL. It was the wife's turn to choose a strain and she chose Dinafem Blue Widow Dropped the seed in a paper towel....we'll add her to the mix instead

My blue widow is doing sexyyy. Shes on day 12 now I believe. Shes got 2 nodes with 3-part leaves. Looking pretty indica right now, sensitive to PH changes Ive noticed. Lemme know which phenotype ya get!

lol the above picture is probably the rarest blue widow phenotype... Im not expecting any other colors than green and frost.

Not all of em do. With strains that have color-changing characteristics, low water/air temps do help with bringing that particular strain's color out tho I've never grown a strain that changed color all over like that BW pic. I've had really pretty colors in trichomes and calyx hairs, but I think that's with everyone for the most part. I'm hoping my Purple Wreck has some decent color to her. Still though....I'd trade the brightest purple plant with an average yield for a plant with a great yield and a little color change. Only time will tell

Random thought....I'm prolly gonna for sure be ditching the DK strain after this round. From what I'm seeing it's just not performing quite to my liking. The bud-to-leaf ratio is just overwhelming. I've been comparing pics from the first time I grew her until now and both seem to look similar. It's not the strain's fault per say....I just dont like the pheno. I'm trying to keep my op small, yet significant. If I can grow one round and pull close to 16oz then I could afford to do only 2 grows a year as compared to year-round. Keeping clones alive would be easy as i could just reclone once they got too big to keep everything small. Rambles....pics tonight after lights off

Too many good strains out there to run something that doesn't perform well. Sometimes I think I should give a strain another chance... but life's too short. I'll never grow everything I want to anyways, but I'm gonna try, lol.

For real man! I havent smoke a strain I've grown that I absolutely DID NOT like. I enjoy her for sure, but you are right. By the time electric bills and nute costs and resources are said and over with....it's just not worth it ya know? I've got quite a few new strains and I cant wait for them to take off on me. I really think the vert setup will help alot as well. Should at least double my yield with any strain at the least. More grow area and less places for light to hide

So I figured I'd throw down an update right quick. Pretty boring day and I did some tinkering with the girls and I'm glad I did! Pictures are in order.
(PW and roots, Cheese and roots, DK, BL, BL roots) The seedlings are a week old today Not too shabby if I do say so! They kinda had me worried at the start, but the PW is straight up fuckin goin nuts with growth. I see a new set of leaves on her almost every day. The Cheese isnt far behind though. I switched the position of the cflz above em too. I put the MH one on top of the PW and the HPS one on top of the Cheese. It was reversed so I'm just gonna play with the spectrums and see if they like one or the other better. The DK clone has gorgeous roots and I'm finally starting to see new growth on her! Only thing about it is depending on what this harvest is in a couple more weeks will decide whether or not I wanna for sure keep the strain. I've never grown a strain I didnt like....there's too much good shit out there lulz. I also plan on cloning down the BL in the next couple days. Her new branches are stretching after topping and they're nice and perfect sized for 3-4 clones. I think I have cloning down now....or at least 70% success rate. Oh yea!....our Blue Widow got put into a grow cube today Couple more days and I'll have another new strain to grow out I hope! I'm really trying to narrow it down to JUST 4 strains. Almost there...

DK at Day 38 of Bloom. She's getting noticeably whiter it seems like. Not sure if it's the flash from my camera or not, but still. She has no choice BUT to swell for the next 2 weeks and every time I look at her with the lights off I see a totally different plant lulz. I cant wait til I can actually pull the bitch out and take shots of her in regular light for you guys. It may mind-fuck all of us lulz. I'm only seeing maybe 2.5 oz if I'm lucky from her....then again I suck at guesstimating. Her smell is getting INTENSE! I cant even touch her without sticking to everything afterwards. She IS stacking up below that thick ass canopy as well. It's been urking the hell out of me all week about the actual size of those buds underneath. From what I'm seeing her biggest ones are on the outside of the plant and everything in the middle is gonna be golf-ball sized and such. Not to say there's not a shit load of them because I cant see that well with the screen in the way....but eh idk. I cant kick myself in the nuts too much....she weighs more than what I started with. I just cant help but wonder what a portion of my wall in the tent would look like filled up with her Oh yea....I've also decided to do 4 plants next round so I can cut down on the veg time by a week or so. 4 plants with 5 weeks of veg should fill the walls pretty snugly I would say. The next couple of weeks should be really eventful for me. I have to finish a couple more buckets and snag some random pieces for hanging the light and whatnot. I have decided to go with the cooltube setup as I dont have much choice so I need a few things for hanging that and should be good to go. Almost there all! Thanks for the posts MJ and Amax The anticipation of starting something new is killer at this point :/ I hope my new genetics work out to be femz and tbh there's just not much to do around here lulz. I crave giving the grow attention everyday just because it's a different world...don't have to think so much about the real one ya know? I took a look at the DK a bit ago and I'm starting to see the orange hairs on her. Not many just a few, but definately a good sign of ripening up. I hope she swells up somemore. I repositioned the bulb today as well. I turned it 180 degrees the other way to try to disperse somemore light in various directions. Some of the growth towards the back is way thicker and denser than that closer to the front. I've also decided that the BL is getting too big for her pot and I'm taking at least 3 clones off her today and cutting her down to size yet again. I'm gonna put the Blue Widow seedling, which hasnt popped yet, and those 3 BL clones in my new seedling tray/dome. I also made sure to stock up on cloning gel to ensure that I'll have at least 1 survive the process. Urgh the wait game.....you suck so bad..

Looks great, hows the ultreflect work? I was looking at that vs. mylar. Wanted to know which was more effective. I know the ultreflect is re-useable, just wasnt sure if it performed as well as mylar.
