So one of my older auto body friends texted me and said he had a heart attack and while at the hospital they told him he has cancer pretty bad. Could make it an extra year, with treatment. He's also the guy who brought me some clones a while back, that I tossed due to being scared of pests. I told him he can't die until he brings me another round (KIDDING!!). He laughed and then told me he had some Jet-A rooting now and also a DeadHead Og. How appropriate lol.

Long story short, Ya ain't promised tomorrow and neither are your homies. Here's a few Jet-A chilling under the big panel in the sky :leaf:

I’d love to be able to make that happen. Any direction you can point me in?
Check out Canndo's stickied thread over in the Hallucinatory section ( The easy way to grow mushrooms) It's popcorn tech in jars that really gives you a basic understanding of what exactly is going on. His tech does get a little heat, complaints about it not being easy, but it works. And you'll learn more with his tech, rather than just squirting spores into a bag imo.

I wasn't sure if there was a solid link here on RIU. I make my own brf cakes and spawn those to bulk. I love how many different ways there are to make some magic.

About half that thread is arguing over technique. But other than the pressure cooker ( I use our Instapot) it's a very inexpensive way to dip your toes into the myc world. Touches a lot upon cleanliness and avoiding contamination while showing exactly what is going on from your substrate right on up to your casing. Each jar is its own micro climate so if one gets a contam, you throw it and have 11 jars left.

LOL yeah there's tons of Tek's that's why I wasn't sure which direction to point someone in. BRF is usually where I point just because you can do it without a pressure cooker, and it's where I started. I have been meaning to get an instapot because I hear great things about them, maybe I will grab one so I can do grains. I like the colonization rates much better in them. I'm gonna check that out...

My only complaint about the instapot is that I can only fit 3 1-quart jars in it. So I had to run it 4 times @ 1 hr to sterilize. But I already owned it and it did the trick.

Plus you can make some bomb food in it lol.

I am stoked that you got the Jerk reference :)
I just read a journal article about the high CBD strains being more effective at killing cancer.
Try your most sativa-leaning strains.
I know it sounds earthy crunchy hippy dippy when I say that the older landrace sativa strains seem to possess the most magic.

I was thinking those types of strains would probably have a better medicinal effect too. I'll have to try and add some old style sativas to the bean collection.

I sent him my master list and he chose the Larry Burger as the one he wanted me to start so here is LB#1

The fronto operation turned out to be pretty fun. So far, I've had best results letting the leafs dry outside partially in the sun, and every morning they seem to re-hydrate with the morning dew. It is crazy how these leafs can go from crispy crunchy dried, to stretchy and floppy with just a lil moisture. I brought a few inside to start playing with some natural flavors... pineapple fronto coming up
