Mildew outbreak - harvest now or wait?

This is my first time growing and my plants have been struck by a mildew outbreak in the past few days. My plants are about 7-10 days from peak harvest time. I am looking for advice on whether I should harvest immediately due to threat of mildew infesting the buds, or if it's better to treat the plants for mildew while allowing them to grow to peak.

Since I first noticed the mildew a few days ago I have been lightly spraying down the plants with an apple cider vinegar solution every 1-2 days. I don't want to use anything stronger for fear of ruining the quality of the buds. I have also increased ventilation (the past month I have moved the plants indoors due to temps outside being too cold) and am keeping the humidity around 40% as opposed to what it was previously around 50%. As far as I can tell (both with the naked eye and under magnification) the buds themselves look and smell fine and are not ruined. Full of trichromes and resin. Mildew is settling on the larger fan leaves & also the sugar leaves surrounding the buds and I am continuing to wipe them down daily -- kind of like individually dusting the leaves and trying to keep it away from the buds.

Should I harvest now to avoid the buds being overtaken and spoiled by the mildew?

Any advice is much appreciated -- thanks!

I think you should stop spraying the vinegar ...dont want your weed tasting like vinegar..fist thought with you saying your ten days from harvest but after looking at the pics you have a much longer time than that...

Maybe try the product PM wash or spray with a high phed water with a little bit of dish soap, or a silica and water with a little bit of dish soap for a surfactant

I agree with Bernie, you have more than a week until harvest.

I've tried a few methods of ridding PM - Dr Zymes Eliminator works (cheap), sulfer burn works but you're too far along in flower, an AirROS machine is the gold standard but expensive.

Spraying with a 30 percent milk, 70 percent water solution will work similarly to ACV but works by raising the ph of the plant. H2O2 sprays beat back PM but it always comes back.

I'd cut and wash it, dry it then make tincture for edibles out of it. Cut the losses and start new, and try a new strain with better resilience to mildew as well as fixing whatever issue you may have causing PM (temp swings?) more info is good for figuring out why this happened in the first place

Thanks for the replies and advice. Nizza - I think it may have been poor air circulation in my improvised grow room indoors.

The original photos I sent are of some of the smaller buds which tend to have more PM collecting around their leaves.

Here are photos of the larger colas that to me look more mature/farther along. Do you all think these are closer to harvest?

I would cut your losses and chop the plant. I would not keep spraying with vinegar, you will eventually ruin them. I did it with milk before, and that didn't solve the issue. You could make edibles to be on the safe side. Me on the other hand, I would probably just smoke it. I had plenty of street weed, and Reggie before, you think I never smoked mold or bugs before . Most of us probably have.
