Milder strains

Hi
just wondering in for some knowledge regarding strains that don't blow your head off lol. I don't mind strong weed but sometimes at night i prefer something a little less mind bending. What could potentially fit this category?

There are people who like CBD strains for that reason. The high is supposedly weaker since CBD has a sinergy with THC and makes its effect milder. Other than that, you could grow nice strains and seek and select for aromatic specimens instead of strong ones. Or harvest them early.

Avoid hybrids, these are made for strong turbid effect and mass production. Specially American ones.

Hindu hashplant from bodhi is pretty laid back and mellow. I'm sure a lot of more pure indicas can

If you can find a high CBD/low THC strain,like a 20:1,then mix that with the potent strain to dilute it.

Find some old land race strains to grow. Whatever happened to the days when you'd smoke a couple of joints with a few friends then spend the night listening to good tunes and laughing your asses off for hours.

Just doesn't happen now with all the mongelised strains that are geared to getting you off your face with a toke or two. Super high THC but no character at all. Can't tell one buzz from the other.

I grew up in the 60s with dime bags and lids of seedy Mexi-pot then graduated to strains like Thai-Stick, Jamaican Red-Hair, Maui-Wowie etc. That shit had character up the ying-yang! Same with cars now. On road trips as a kid we'd play games IDing cars coming toward us. Try that now. They all look the same but tiny differences. No f'n class at all.

Maybe a landrace indica is Something I should be looking into. Since I am in Aus we haven't particularly got any seed banks. Any recommended suppliers that have some old school genetics? Maybe a long shot though.

Since old older genetics have been bought up. Here is a picture of the plant I am growing at the moment. Unknown strain but it's been growing for generations around my area. Could be remnants of some original genetics. I just found the seeds in the weed I bought off an old fella growing it for years. Hoping she will be some nice smoke with character. I agree , I'm over the weed that obliterates you. I like a nice quality stone that chills you out.

Kingdom organic Seeds comes to mind for some reason. He has deep chunk that I'm growing now. I think c99 too.

I don't know if Hazeman offers direct, international shipping, but if you can find a way to get his Mikado, it fits the bill for what you are asking.
Super frosty, insane bag appeal, sweet and fruity, but not overwhelming.
There's a raspberry cream pheno(they only come in regs) that has taken over as my most popular offering to my patients.
I can't grow it fast enough. A real crowd pleaser.

I've heard it's a quick finisher. When is yours ready to harvest?

Oh definitely. I see little to no change from 49 days up to 56+. It finishes swelling mid 7th week. At least the two phenos I've flowered repeatedly anyway.
Im getting ready to flower out the last 3 females I've found out of 24 beans. Had a couple runts in the first pack, and the second pack has been only 4-12 female.
The only thing I don't like about it, it's a real beeeyatch to clone. Hoping for a more clonable pheno in these, and then self the bejeezus out of the raspberry keeper!

Royal Queen seeds, Dance World, Royal Medic, Medical Mass, Royal Highness All in the 8 to 14% THC and equal CBD, calming and relaxing

Counting your tokes works too. The old Ken's GDP was great for a mellow high. Snowhigh's Zacatecas x Michoacan or Guerrero x Michoacan is great old time stuff. Strong enough but just enough, trippy and FUN. No noids with any of it at normal dose.

One of the Zacatecas was mildly unpleasant but that was one plant. Pheno hunt is the way with any strain.

I'm drying a blue dream cbd that's supposedly a 1:1 at 10%. A test smoke seemed to be ok, pretty laid back with no anxiety

got any pics of your mvp pheno? anything out of the ordinary to share from the grow? im popping some mikado soon, havent been able to find much intel on it

Hazemans mikado was going to be my recommendation! Easy to grow, not super potent but very enjoyable. We preferred smoking it over lots of stuff we had in the house because it was fun but not melting your face off.

female seeds Easy Sativa and Dutch skunks would be worth a look too

I had three phenos, all went 70ish days. Look for the shorter phenos, those were the keepers for me for whatever that’s worth to you.
