Migration to canada/US to grow legally?

Is it possible to migrate from a illegal country to a legal one to work at cannabis farms?
Hey, I would think it would be really hard at present. Especially with the pandemic destroying so many jobs. I would imagine it would be that much harder to find work when so many in the country you are looking at are out of work. That said most things are possible and if that is your goal I say go for it. Even if it doesn't work out at least you followed your dream.

I mean with the Covid vaccine things should resolve pretty soon? I can't live in this state of fear anymore I just want to live a normal life.

I get it and wish you luck. The Covid vaccine will be changing things but my fear is how long the economy of most countries will be in the toilet afterwards. Working in the Cannabis industry is a dream for many and it's possible. I am lucky to be in Canada where it is now legal to grow or buy. I have 4 plants, as is my legal limit, but no fear of getting in trouble so I understand why you would want to not live in fear. It's a stupid law, it needs to change everywhere. I wish you luck, I hope you reach your goal.

They're not hiring migrant workers for those farms. Too many Canadians want those jobs. Migrant workers are usually used for picking fruit and veg.

Lots of jobs at Tim Hortons and McDonald’s

maybe start here, it’s not as easy as coming across the border and starting work.

You can't get a work Visa in the United States to work in the cannabis industry which is still illegal under federal law which the only thing that matters and not individual states legalization.

"Immigration law is federal, and under federal law, it remains an offense to possess marijuana or work in the cannabis industry. Working in the cannabis industry could prevent a non-citizen from obtaining a visa or other immigration benefit, make the non-citizen deportable, or bar their eligibility for citizenship."

Best bet is to move to a legal state like Michigan or Colorado that will let you grow your own at home. Then you can work another regular job while learning how to garden. After your get your immigration status solid and have learned how to grow you could try and get a job in the industry. Honestly the jobs in the industry I've seen posted lately don't pay that well.

I thought trump slashed the number of work visas? At the moment with the covid hit everyone is feeling jobs are not in abundance.

Regardless of that, you can't get a work Visa in the United States to work in the cannabis industry. And with the current situation no work Visas are going to be issued for any non-skilled labor unless it's for back breaking farm work for little pay or in deplorable conditions working in a slaughterhouse. Jobs most lazy Americans refuse to do.

I remember when Alabama enacted HB56 and rolled it back pretty quick because their supply of workers dried up.

"There simply aren’t enough people in the United States legally who are willing or able or geographically situated to do the backbreaking work most farms have to offer, a truth that has become increasingly clear as farmers—first in Georgia, where legislation similar to HB 56 passed last year, and now in Alabama—have scrambled to fill the vacuum left by a labor force that evaporated overnight."

move to Mexico , sneak in that way
Someone might be able to sneak in but there is no way any cannabis growing operation in a legal state is going to hire someone not legal to work in the United States. There's no way they are going to risk their operation by hiring illegal workers when there are plenty of US citizens available. It's already hard enough for people that want to move within the United States to a legal state to get a job in the industry and most that do end up working in low paying jobs.

You obviously haven’t heard of California.
