Midwest Outdoor log. Grow along with me!

Good late afternoon Rollitup family. I was gathering up all my feeding , watering and transplanting supplies for later when I realized… it was safe to say I can make a grow log for the year! After my first and second attempt at some old stock I had finally got a handful to stay healthy and not crap out.. I had first attempted some snausages & G-walk with 6/6 100% germ rate but the snausages didn’t bother breaking soil and the g walk all withered up in the sun ..

so I moved on and popped some cement shoes BX (unicorn shoes x cement shoes ) by universally seeded I think? Also a few of my own chucks from last year. ((Choc Thai)x (dosi x gelato 41))x ( unknown broadleaf male)…. Plus 1 sphin ghar aka Tora bora I’ve acquired from a friend on IG Who has preserved a few things. So far they’re just about 3 weeks and I plan to transplant in a couple more from now depending how they are doing. Enough of the chit chat… few pics of the packs I’ve attempted and the universally seeded pack I have currently. The 2 biggest at the bottom are the cement shoes bx ( was hoping for at least 1 mutant lol ) and the top rest are my chucks and the tora bora & 1 chuck together ( far left ). Pretty excited for this run although snausages was my main goal. Can’t always get what you want ! (mick jagger voice )

Here’s the mother of the chuck I’m growing currently. Shes on the sativa side of things and had a very distinct orange tic tac / pez smell that was super enjoyable. Very social smoke and kept things mellow and felt like everything was gonna be ok lol kept it all organic and doing the same here as well. Just letting Mother Nature and the soil do the work as I just cheer her on and feed every here and there.

The male on the other hand.. very broad leafed , dark pigment and thrived on the hottest days.. Every other leaf on the plant had this wrinkle that I’ve noticed a lot of afghani / middle eastern ( maybe ) genes often carry and it would only make sense this was on that side of things.. (no pictures found) :wall:

Quick update.. over a week later and they're just about taking off from here. There’s been a lot of rain passing and the girls are loving every day of it. Handed a few of my chucks out and just kept 1 of mine and the 2 cement shoes bx. Hoping to get a single plant in the ground by next week and see how tall she gets.

So far so good. Just got back from a vacation a little bit ago and was kind of anxious to see how the girls were doing. But to my surprise everything is doing absolutely outstanding.

Out of the 2 that had made it (cement shoes BX) I ended up with 2 very different phenotypes. 1 thinner leaf and fast grower that looks like an easy rider. And 1 growing slow as molasses , didn’t approve of being topped and looks real finicky compared to her sister.IMG_1242.jpegIMG_1244.jpeg
The leaves on her are alot broader than the other and real squat with close node spacing. It could be all the ogkb that’s in the genetics that could cause the weird Rock speed growth..stem rubs are also smelling like pure cherry robutussin..so there’s one thing I’m looking forward to..hopefully she adjusts to the soil. Maybe more Food for this one ?

Everything here is just smooth sailing. My finicky pheno looks like she’s darkening up from the feeds I applied this past week and the other is way past her. I gave them one good feeding of soy aminos , recharge , rock dust ( calcium) ,worm casting water and roots organic veg tea. Also spraying her with an organic leaf tonic using extracted beneficial herbs that feeds the plant as well as keep pests away. IMG_1302.jpegIMG_1304.jpegIMG_1306.jpeg

A little over a week and here we are growmies. Gonna make this the last update before flower and that should be in about a few weeks or so from now. The finicky pheno has actually proved to be opposite surpassing the darker sister. Just soaking up the heat like nothing while the other wilts and chugs water like a racehorse haha.
The Finicky Runt that could. With its many bud sights just appearing left and right.

She’s trying .. still stoked to see what becomes of these two. It’s fun to see them go from a pebble to a full on tree of meds.. interesting plants these are.

Pretty hyped to see them flowering already .. from a bean to a tree. I believe these are on their second week of flower.. maybe a week apart but I’m gonna give them both the same flower time. IMG_1532.jpegIMG_1533.jpegIMG_1534.jpeg
not much to mention besides my available space being so small due to street lights being all throughout my backyard.. here are the plants at night cutting it short from herming lol.IMG_1518.jpegIMG_1520.jpeg
a few branches and fan leaves had to be sacrificed in order for them to not become exposed to the light.

Slight update until harvest. My broad leafed pheno had ended up herming on me and slightly seeding both plants… doesn’t look too bad but we’ll see after It’s all said and done. Other than that the plants are thriving and fading nicely. The frost is there and smells are coming through strong. Almost like a milky kushy smell I’m guessing from the cookies. Strong resin glands as well not greasy at all. Looking forward to test these out. IMG_1783.jpegIMG_1782.jpegIMG_1751.jpegIMG_1874.jpeg
