So i have only been growing for a few years, My first being a couple autos outdoor and second Nirvana wonder woman. Lots of issues with both some my fault and some out of my hands. This past year i learned a tremendous amount and this year i hope to be a proud farmer..
My goal has always been 1.5-2 pounds enough to get me to next harvest and play with some edibles while last year i only came out with 3 plants out of 5 and 9 oz.. This year i feel, is my year!
So for the line up i have chosen 7 of Greenpoints - bodega bubble gum. (7 leaves me with 4 extra seeds) I have bought a king led 1000w And started them about a month early. Also i have ditched 45 Gallon grow bags and dug 3'x3' holes in gravel laced clay (soil?) The gravel plays an important role with drainage in the clay so no drowned plants. (Tested the drainage)
My soil mix from last year
10 cu ft horse manure compost
10 cu ft pro mix bx
10 cu ft rice hulls only used about 7
NUTES -
1/2 cup to 1 cup
kelp meal, alfalfa meal, neem meal, fish bone meal, crab meal, gypsum, azomite,
There was some issues with the amount of rice hulls i had in the mix the main one being it couldn't hold moisture for long witch with a gorilla grow is bad as you could imagine. So this year i took that yard of soil and mixed it with about a yard of my compost. Then separated a yard and used @ganga gurl420 mix of happy frog bulb food, biotone starter plus and teaspoon of epsom salt per cu ft. I also spleged and got some Mykos.
I started them in red solo cups in a seed starter and at about 2 weeks i transplanted into (i think) 32 oz cups with my mix. They got a little burnt but then they started putting those nutes to good use now they are about to be at 3 weeks and i think they are looking good. Any tips or suggestions are always appreciated.
