hey i have a stoner friend who always has ratical ideas and was telling me about drying out plants. he said to try and microwave them.?

any thoughts?

my friend stuck a half ounce to dry in the oven before, dunno bout the microwave though, You could try it with a couple of grams and see what happens.

No...don't do it, I've tried it as a quick dry method and it makes the bud taste like crap, really don't bother.

from my experience with microwave and green that it is not good. I use to get brick weed and would microwave it to break it apart. it worked but the microwave would suck out all the moistness. later it would be dry as a rock if that's what your looking for, but it also lowers the thc. which you don't want

The microwave drying method does not have to 'kill your bud'. It should only be used as an unsceintific method of checking the maturity of your bud. It will 'taste a little harsh', the high will be 'similar' not as good as the cured bud. Many a joint has been smoked using this method at my place. 15 seconds between two paper plates, take them out and lift off the top plate, let that moisture out. Let it set for a few minutes, remove some stems etc. put the plates back together, pop it back it for 10 seconds. pull it out and let the moisture out again. Fluff it around let it cool, chop it up let it dry. Rollitup, if it give the high u want, it might be ready to harvest in a week or so. VV
