micro, fantastic looking buds! just awesome.

i recently read an interesting suggestion in a magazine called thc on cloning during late flowering that might come in handy if you wanna preserve these genetics. maybe someone here knows first hand and can back this up, but the idea is this:

- when you harvest, cut all the main branches, but leave a few of the small buds from the side branches on the plant.
- reveg the remaining plant (16 on 8 off)
- new growth will start at the bud sites
- in a couple weeks, these sprouts will be perfect candidates to be cloned because of increased rooting hormones

Sounds pretty cool to me. Has anyone tried this?

Peace bros, dazing on some GDP

I have not read or heard of it homer but it sure does have very sound reasoning. I think I will try that to kick off my next grow even faster.

got some decent trich shots.. tomorrow starts the first day of flushing... 1 more week till final harvest... pretty excited... i cheated and smoked my fattest dried nug in a huge paper.. got so lit... flavor was aight.. not harsh, but not cured... didnt really taste green... just sorta tobaccoish... anyways.. scored a half of some cali outdoor... that should last till final harvest... lol... i guess we just gotta wait and see... lol.. what do you guys think of this bug spray i got? curious if i should try it if problems arise...

great closeup on those buds in pics 1 and 5. i'm trying to guess the trich color distribution... from here it looks like mostly clear, partly cloudy? (like a nice northern california day)... is that what you're seeing?

also, yeah the reveging thing sounds pretty interesting to me, it's a good one to keep in mind for when you wanna make a few last minute clones, or just to fuck around and see what happens. man, so blazed on my sour d right now, finally back in town with my old ladies :)

Great lookin grow Micro. You have inspired me to create my own pc growbox and start my first grow. I am still ironing out all of the kinks regarding light, heat, fans, etc. but I am really excited about this grow. If this grow goes well, I will continue to use the pc to house my mother/clones and start a larger grow in my shed in the spring when it get's warmer. Check out the pics of my grow in my signature, and let me know what you think. Any tips and suggestions would be appreciated.

oh man, just saw the video - wow! the last 15 seconds are especially nice.

your buds remind me of my purple d buds around week 6-7 of 12/12... something like:
https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/368799-150w-cfl-purple-d-sour-4.html#post4752923

i ended up harvesting at exactly 8 weeks from 12/12 and it turned out to be kinda early because the trichs were still mostly clear when an "expert" looked at them through a professional scope after the fact! anyhow, just an observation, may not necessarily apply to your genetics. but overall your plant looks amazing man, and the buds look sweet.

congrats on the first cheat smoke lol

for sure crazytrain... i think that is really what made this grow what it was...

i ended up flushing this morning for the first time... i am gonna flush up until thursday, then hit it with the 24 dark and harvest in a week... i dont see an ounce outta this grow... i wish it could have made it, but not quite there... overall i am lookin at a dry weight of about 21 gs or so... that is not definite yet, but i am feelin that might be it... well... hell of a improvement over my first one... lol...

well lets see where i went WRONG in this grow...

1) over aggressive on the fan leaves... instead of removing them completely next time i may cut the petals to half thesize... every petal... i notice on this grow that where i left the bigger fan leaves, i do have biggerbuds and vice versa.... where no fan leaves at all, practically popcorn fluff... lol... so... while cuttin fan leaves promoted more budsites, the more sites were some what in-effecient in the sense that the more budsites were a plus, but i need a way to fill out each site a lil more next time... all kinks that will be worked out for sure...

2) having the plants as close to the lights as i did promoted "bleaching" or yellowing of the leaves... not really sure if it is because i have the top of the light facing the plants, rather than having the light horizontal and the plants receiving light from that portion of bulbs... the only diffrence in the buds receiving more direct light compared to the ones on the outside o the "grid" were the ones on the outer edge not receiving as much light matured faster and stayed greener.. they were also the thickest buds yet on the plant... the were literally growing into each other... i didn t see the middle of that portion till i harvested it last week... no mold... no problem :) ... i have noticed that in the past week since i have lowered the plants a lil further away from the lights, all green has come back...

this is all that comes to mind as of now as far as what i wouldve changed lookin back... maybe better air circulation in the box due to the heat that is put off by 7 26 watt bulbs... all 2700k... like i mentioned in a previous post, i will prolly turn this current box into my mother box, buy a bigger case, convert it for flowering, and have my small case from my first for clones and seedlings... i was thinkin last night that if i could manage a quarter a clone every week, i would be set... approx 10 clones per flowering box at a time...

so... this is something else i was pondeing... i have quite a few "lollipop" buds growing... wouldnt it be awesome to have a variety in colored buds? i read some where that directly after harvesting, place the stem of the buds in a cup of food coloring... therefore allowing the actual buds to soak up some of the colors without having the roots filter it out first... my color ideas are blue, red, orange, and purple... hummm... lemme know what you guys think... it kept me up for awhile thinking about it, so i felt it was worth mentioning...

meanwhile... no piks or vids for the day... just alot of typing... hopefully someone will read all this and respond... ;)

Nice breakdown Bro! I may back my lights off after reading this. Its somewhat contrary to what has been posted about cfl proximity, but its a real observation and I wont argue with that. I took some fan leaves myself and I will monitor this grow closely to see if it matches your results bud wise. Whether the fan leaves are the culprit. Its sound reasoning.

I have been rethinking circulation as well. Les compare notes after we both get these grows done. I would love to see what you come up with.

Overall though man, GOOD JOB! A lot of what you have done got em to where I am today in my grow...along with some others...Ill Shout out to them as well..lol.

well... its gonna be about a gram or two short... lol....
Well, this is not an exact science and we are all the time trying new stuff so results will definitely chance, but I'm sure if you got two less now you will get two more in the next grow ;)

BTW, do you know how many litres is the pot you used ?
