Ok so I found a Full Spectrum 7 inch 50light/50 watt led ufo with cooling fan/ Power cord & Hangers fer $45.
Ima about to order it cuz compared to all other suppliers these guys are saving me $40.
Ill post the link in a bit cuz idk if its legit cuz everyone else is selling em fer $60-$80-$100 n these cats only $45. So my next ? Is isthere any way to increase yield by adding some cfl's 2 my power strip at the top&if so how many lumens should i use?Would adding cfl's during flower increase my yield or is that just overkill?

Like I said I'm hoping they except my returns at Home Depot but yeah are these things any good they look cheap?!!

They run for a lifespan of 50,000 hours, or several years easy, CFLs lose brightness after one or two crops, put to many CFLs in that small box and you will have heat issues

Put a small scrog screen in your box, don't try vertical in such a small box, side lighting is for vertical growers, if you did scrog y then you UFO will do all the lighting

I sure hope you did not buy the 50 watt ufo light, those only use 1 watt chips, very underpowered, at least get the mars with the 3 watt, or if you can find them a ufo that uses the 5 watt chips, ask us before you pull triggers and we can help you get it set up man, many of us started out with cfls, I cant tell you how many cfl's I took back to home depot,, lol,

NAH MY GIRL WAS SUS ABOUT THE PRODUCT N IT BEING FROM CHINA SHE REMINDED ME ABOUT THE SHIPPING TIME WHEN ORDERING FROM THERE AS WELL AS THE QUALITY SO IT WAS A NO GO.

HEY FOX I WAS THINKING ABOUT INVESTING IN A CO2 Enrichment syst. n after doing a little research READ THAT WHEN USING SUCH SYST. IT SMARTER IF NOT MANDATORY TO USE HID

ALSO HAD A COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC ? regarding SOIL. I GOT APRETTY LARGE BAG OF SOME ROOTS OG, a small bag of some %100 OG MICHIGAN MADE KIND SOIL, some regular vigoro OG frm H.D. along with some bags of perl. n peat. I GOT ALL THE SOILS SITTING N A CARDBORD BOX N MY CLOSET. SO ? IS WETHER OR NOT ITS OK THT I GOT EM STACKED WITH ROOTS OG @ THE BOTTOM. COMMON COMPOST KNOWLEDGE TELLS ME NO DUE TO EM BEING SOMEWHAT ROLS or am i just noided out. DONT WANT MY SOIL TO DRY UP ON ME OR GO BAD. ??? SHOULD I TAKE EM OUT?

The Mars light I linked thru eBay ships out of California, when I ordered mine from them it arrived in like 2 days

Never seen anyone do cO2 in such a small space, if your idea is to increase your yield, which is what co2 does, you could do that just with better lights, or do the simple milk jug c02 thing, but in acab that small, find the best light, and scrog it, if you go with mh or hps your going to do well but you won't be stealth as your going to need high power fans to deal with the heat, doubt those pc fans can keep up?

Yeah was stillthinking bout getting a 5lb tank syst. To improve my yields n use fer temp. As well. Thought about going with the ufo but cant find any 7inchers 2 accomadate my box. Read somewhere as well that if i do go with hids (Mh fer veg/ Hps 4 flower ) I'd have to go with a bulb watt of 250 or higher in order to do better then using cfl's cuz once u use a 250w hid bulb or higher do u really get ur $$$'s worth as a apposed 2 amaybe a 150-200w hid where cfl's can get pretty close to the lumens produced in such low watt hid's.

cfl's are not efficient at all, do they grow, sure, but if you look around at grows on here, the cfls are the smallest and most spindly and larfphy , now with that said, do I smoke bud from spindly plants, you bet your ass, larphy its the same high, but why do I use those words , its to describe what low light power does to the plants, cfls' dont add up like people think, you cant take 10 ,, twenty three watt ( 100 equiv) type cfls and say each one is 1000 lumens there for I now have 10000 and that should beat the MH or hps or led of the same or lower watts, ,, thats the thinking, but when it comes to actaully seeing a harvest and getting it on the scale, if you went with cfls and c02 lets say, you will harvest less than if you just did Metal halide alone, and your right about getting a fixture from an LED company to fit your 7 inches direction, the more I think about it, if your not willing to build your own custom led light fixture like many of us do on here, your left with Mh hps, and thats really a good set up, tried and true, I used to grow 25 years ago all the time with a 4x4 box and a 400 Metal halide, lots and lots of buds,
can your box support a 250 watt Mh hps,, sure, especially if you make your own cool tube, they sale glass tubes at the craft stores like micheals, they are about 3 4 or 5 inches, ( they have differant sizes), measure your bulb width and go get one, then hook your fan and ducting and carbon filter ( if your going to use one and I would) to the glass tub and position your bulb in the middle of it, and your heat will go out of the box along with the exhaust air, otherwise I dont think any reflector will fit in the 7 inches and bare bulbing it will be too hot,, but with the cool tube you can get much closer to your plants than even led,, because the buld wont scortch the leaves this way

I plan on using a 250w Hps bulb. My outake will also have a blower connected to either a diy pencil cup carbon scrubber.

Got one last ? Looked into the cool tubes n it would be dope as.fuck to build one myself so imma look into it. I plan on using a 400w hps tube to make up for the lumens lost as well as using 400w due to mh compatability.

k so imma get a 250watter.any idea on the width of these specs say 8''' in height.. Also whats a good digital/dimmable 250w ballast. Also any threads on how to build 1
