Micro Grow

thats really good if it worked ok, is it a full spectrum light though as it looks like an outdoor flood light. Yeah ill be growin in about a 1ft by 1ft area
Nope its just a simple no name cob, cool white so 6000k or something. Actually the one i bought was supposed to be 80w, which its not, but as i say i measured it at 48w which would be fine for 1ft x 1ft.
Dont have any more pics, but she carried on growing just fine. Very low heat output too, the reflector got very hot so that appears to be an effective heatsink.
I really want to try this, use the 1 x 48w cool white for maybe a month, switch to 2 x 48w warm white for flower. $30 for 3 lights. Of course it may well turn out shite, but based on what ive seen using this for young plants up to a 4 weeks of veg, i reckon it might turn out pretty good!

hmmmm what a bugger. An actual 48 watt would be ok then but cant find anything i trust on these websites especially after what im hearing here lol
Yeah it's a minefield out there. Buy from a reputable company. I have countless no brand Chinese lights which always come up way short on wattage when I actually test them.

I still wouldn't recommend a 48w lamp for that space, though tbf you can get 50w COB based lamps for cheap quite reliably. You get other issues with those though, like overheating, fire risk from cheap manufacturing etc. Better to go for something that does around 100w and dial it down until you get the max your plants can take.

In my small tent (50x50) I have a high quality 200w lamp which I run at 60-100w depending on stage of development. Much better to overspec as it will last longer, run cheaper and cooler, and you can reuse it if you go bigger later on. This way is more expensive in the short term, but cheaper in the long run, plus your plants will be a lot better!

just go with a 50 watt cob if cash is a problem. that will be fine for a 12/12 grow from seed or a cutting kept on 24/0 for a while before the flip, that should give you space to flower her

I know this is probably not the place to post but I need advice.. This is my second time growing and the first time i wasnt there to see all the stages, are they supposed to stack and form one bud or what should I expect with this micro grow? I did pollinate the lowers to get seeds. But what do you guys think? (This grow was just a tester didnt expect to really grow this year) lol (two types of GG#4 and 1 greencrack x OGkush.

All are organic but I did grind up vitamins and made a vitamin/fish oil/ olive oil/ tea/ date syrup mixture. Since I'm going organic.

I'm in Cali. Thanks for your response I appreciate you taking time out of your day to help me. Yeah I'm hoping for a lil something something. Wanted to do an indoor grow but I need to do more research and prepare my knowledge to do that. But for now I'm doing a simple little grow. Lol Flintstone vitamins. Good one heh. Yeah no but foreal I added some good vitamins to them. Wasn't a super thought out thing I wasn't even gonna add any nutrients period because I'm just reproducing my seeds of 2 types of gg#4 and some rare Greencrack x OG Kush seeds. So hoping for the best with that. But yeah I just merely came on here to see what you guys thought, didn't come here to be judged or ridiculed for lack of experience. Sheesh it's my second time growing guys come on give me a break lol.. but yeah I love cannabis I love growing I grow to literally bless folks who are less fortunate. Even if it's small my first grow was massive and I definitely grew monsters. But yeah it's just an experiment while I get my seeds ready for next season.

Your plants look equal to what you put into them.
I don’t know about your nutrient regimen but they look healthy and are budding.

BB84: I think I’d go with an LED bulb from HD before I used that setup you’re looking at.
They’re cheap. They’ll veg a plant. They will probably flower a micro grow too.
With one of these no reason you can’t do a micro grow:

VITAMINS?? What vitamins?
Vitamins B and fish oil and other types all grounded up and powderized to add to the organic tea blend I made. I searched up the vitamins to see which ones would do. I know others might be closed minded but I am not so I like to experiment cause I'm breeding these I'm not gonna waste money on seeded plants lol. But yeah Its just a lazy grow and the plants flourished from the vitamin B-12 and the acidophilus. Probiotics are good for plants very good. :) GodBless and Thanks for your curiosity.

Does anyone think this grow light garden would be ok for growing small plants? I only need a yield of about half an Oz as im not a big user

I know my reply is hella late, but 1 or 2 of these will definitely work. https://www.amazon.com/Daylight-Seedlings-Vegetable-Hydroponics-Greenhouse/dp/B08FHW22LM/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=2J5PMR50SLDMD&keywords=xingruyu+led+grow+light+bulb,+150w&qid=1636194139&qsid=132-5949217-2543856&sprefix=xingruyu+led+grow+light+bulb,+150w,aps,168&sr=8-4&sres=B081ZRZ4VX,B08FHW22LM,B082CZ7FXB,B07NN6SVG6,B08DRKGX5Y,B07VL8FZS1,B093GQFVCH,B07NNZXGMW,B07FKF6BT4,B08JLJ3D6Y,B07BRKT56T,B0748ZPKT7,B07NP1H25N,B08V1FM9V2&srpt=LIGHT_BULBIMG_20210910_233740280_032433.jpg

This device could absolutely grow cannabis successfully.

The full spectrum light far exceeds cannabis' light-compensation-point, or the minimum amount of PPFD necessary for photosynthetic response.

Spectral quality has no effect on potency, just yield. Small pot, small yield.

The plant can adapt to any vessel that can provide its needs. (The 9 Cardinal Factors)
The ability of a species to acclimate and adapt to environmental variations is directly/indirectly associated with its ability to modulate photosynthesis and water.

You could do a mini sea-of-green (SOG) and train the plants horizontally as possible.
Make a nice breakfast counter plant. Recommend rockwool grow cubes.
