It herm'd on me, but it's okay cause I really wanted some beans from this plant. I will deffinitely see if they have the tri-nodal trait next time I grow! I would really like to get a high thc % fem. autoflower, stress it, get some pollen sacks and then pollinate a tri-nodal plant. Someone else on here (I believe it's Gastanker) actually got a plant that was tri-nodal not too long ago, he said the only other tri-nodal plant he had seen before was several years ago.. made me giddy

MG African Violet is 7-7-7, as far as the bonemeal goes, I truely do not know. The only reason I added h2o2 last night is because of how shitty the roots have been looking lately.. confuses me because I clean and replinish the rez every 1-2 days.. the plant drinks almost everything in the 2 qt rez in two days now. Thank you Glock for stickin' to this grow man hahaha. It's cool to have a buddy

Vinious I am planning on making a good detailed thread on how to make one of these systems for under $15! If I sold the systems I have made already the prices would be somewhere in the thirties, for a 1 bucket system. The buckets are probably the most expensive thing I had to buy to make them, but you can use (literally) anything... almost anything. It has to be light proof as a mo fucka though!

My temps in my area got summer hot over the weekend and when I got home Sunday night my plants looked ok except the middle one was starting to wilt at the top. Inspecting my rez showed cloudy water and darkening of the middle plants roots the one with the least root growth. Changed on Tuesday before i realized how bad it was. Might have lost one altogether and damaged one of the side trees. Still I got another box coming and fathers day is not to far along so I will be getting another HID light and really start putting some grows into overdrive. This is my first so some losses is to be expected I guess but was hoping for a perfect start. Moving the setup to my room over the weekend with room a/c temps shouldn't be an issue anymore. My other box is to huge for a 150 hps; me and my brother got overly ambitious. Still its like getting two birds stoned at once I guess. Get a flower box and a veg box while increasing my yield and decreasing grow time.

try keeping the pollen, and mixing it with a diffrent female not related to that plant.

Are you sure it hermied? Mayhaps some pollen got in from outside (hell if your around weed alot you never no if you grabbed some pollen from a buds house). If so you could have a good cross. Personally I don't think I would try to go a strain again if it hermied. There was some week ass bubba kush going around the so-cal area that had a lot of seeds (not like a fully polinated plant but more than usual 1 or 2 seeds in an eighth)and some growers around here think it was probably a hermied strain. The collective i trim at had a large crop get pollinated from a single male that got unnoticed (a pure male not a hermie) and everyone around at the time got some killer strain crossed seeds. My uncle got some I am going to see if he'll give me a few to grow.

I have no idea if it hermied or got pollinated. A friend mentioned that it could've been a number of things like someone spreading pollen via clothing into my room, or even touching bud as it could have pollen in it.. I don't know lol. I'm not too worried about having beans in the plant. This plant is for me, me me me! Others discredited the idea, they don't get freebies no more lol. I think I'm going to flush or lower the amount of nutes that're supplied when hairs start to change color. It doesn't seem right to not give the plant food in its last weeks of life lol.

Would the best method of harvesting/ drying/ curing be to manicure buds, hang upside down 'til stems bend but don't break, and then place in jars and burp every 12 hrs and leave open for about 30-60 minutes? When I hang the buds to dry, do I leave my light on its timer or should I shut it off? Same goes for fans, do the buds need a certain temperature/ lighting situation to dry out properly? I figured the fans would change the humidity in the cabinet somewhat, but.. I've watched videos of people doing it in a damn cardboard box so.. yeah lol.

One thing you don't want to do is dry too quickly. My first cab grow finished up in the middle of summer and I wasn't able to keep temps down so my buds dried to a crisp in 2 days. No curing was gunna fix it, 3oz doomed... tasted pretty ordinary but still got ya high. I ended up putting peppermint essence on a piece of cotton in the jars it was stored in, tasted better but not great lol was like tokin a menthol ciggie! Haha.
my last harvest out of the PC case I was able to dry slowly over a week then jar it up. Same strain as the last one but this smelt and tasted shitloads better!
but yeah what I did was harvest, trim fan leaves and most of the leaves sticking out of the buds, then dried on a flyscreen rack in the PC case with the fans on low and lights off for the week, checking everyday for mold, dampness etc. Then once the stems bent but not quite snap, in the jar they went.
then I did as u mentioned already, burped every 12 hours or so for anywhere from 15 min to 1hr (cos I'd forget :P) right now they are pretty good and that's been ...umm... 2 weeks in the jar I think? Still smells nice and tastes good too! I got 18g dry from that, nice bitey stone too, too much and im glued to the couch :weed:

Oh shit dude! Sorry to hear that man. Hope u ok now. Wtf is with ppl these days, happened to me last year but I didn't have a seizure. Got asked for money, said no and bam, king hit in the back of the head... Fuckin assholes I tell ya.

On top of all of that, mother decided it'd be a good idea to take the plant out of it's cab, and put it in the fucking bathtub w/ no light/ aeration, and it's sad af. More and more hairs are turning orange though, I'm thinkin' it's time to flush her.

Sorry to here about your troubles. Lost three clones do to crappy SoCal-Edison brownouts. Hope things turn around for all of us. We will struggle on together and get these grows finished or die trying (well maybe not die, but who wants to buy it when you can grow your own). Keep your head up friends as you all seem to know your stuff but nobody is immune to bad luck. I lost out hours of trimming to spider mite infestations at my main collective's grow. Fracking bugs made me lose out on free weed.

Remember things can turn around and go well in flash just as quickly as they go bad. And to anyone who is able I would suggest volunteering at a dispensary. It's a good way to gain more knowledge on strains and making a positive effort to support the medical growing community. Plus you can network with other growers for all kinds of bonuses. Most places need volunteer/trimmers do to the cost of paying even part time employees so they typically pay you in product.
