MH vs CFL

I am setting up a two room system and was wondering what lights to use for vegetative growth.

My two options are a Metal Halide lamp or some kind of Flourscent setup (a propagator or similar)

Which of the two works best?

Also, If I used the MH lamp, I'd fit a CFL or two into a cupboard to keep my clones in.

Thanks

MH is at least 5x better, faster, more efficient. The popularity of CFLs has more to do with people's pockets than how good they are. CFLs use for your clones

Great, so...

Clone with CFL, then transfer to room with MH then to room with Sodium lamp

is better than

Clone and Veg with CFl and then Flower with sodium.

I dunno, I used to use a 600w MH, but I've converted to using CFL's. I only use 85w-125w which I've only seen available at grow shops. The only standard size CFL's I use are a few of the 24w (100w equiv) warm bulbs for side lighting. I like this setup much as I have several plants in my veg room that are different sizes and I can lower some lights to get the smaller plants some serious lumens and it seems to promote better secondary growth within the plant. Still using a HPS for budding though.
