Hi folk, I'm doing a wardrobe grow, I have 1 good plant that I have lst'd (got over 5 tops) the heat with one 400w mh in cooltube is over 90 so looking at changing.

I started with a 125 blue cfl and have at my disposal 2 cool tubes, 400 +600 balasts and 1 125w be cfl.

Would a 600w hps be cooler than a 400w mh or should I buy a 400w hps, or buy a 250w cfl (possibly 2) to maximise the yield?

Using wardrobe for stelth until I move house and then can use a larger space.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I also have 3 damaged (dried) plants with few decent tops.... unsure i should cloan them to see how future cloans turn out.

Make it simple for you to alter light... Get dimmable digital ballast's that run both hps and mh... The 600w hps will run temps hotter than a 400 mh...

I already have a 400w and 600w blast so not wanting to buy more. Also not sure if would be best with a 400w hps or 250 red cfl + 125 blue.

I'd go with the hps. It's difficult to get as good results using cfl. You just don't have the light intensity or penetration to compete with HID light.
Maybe try the 400 because 600 will kick off a lot of heat for a wardrobe
