MH Color Spectrum Question

Is 6400k the optimun color temp for MH in veg?

I only seem to be able find 4200k MH in my area, are these suitable?

6400k is it. The 4200 would work. The spectrum is decent just not optimum.

Would i be better off veging with a 100w mh at 4200k or 100w cfl at 6400k?

You would need to test the idea. MH has more penetration.

it would work, i veg with 400 watt 3000K MH and have great results

the higher the K temp is a representation of the amount of blue light emitted by the lamp. Keep in mind that under lower light conditions a bluer light, +5000K, will still produce tighter internodal growth than a similar light with a lower K temp of the same output..

What is color temperature of a bulb? did you already go over this chart?
