MH bulbs will work in HPS system

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you want to save yourself money on conversion ballasts or leave yourself some options, you can just buy a HPS ballast and run either bulb. You cannot use HPS in a MH setup though. The difference is the HPS has an ignitor. Ive been using an HPS and MH in a dual 220v ballast for 3 months now and no problems.

no kidding huh? thats kool man, do you have any background in electronics or electrical? you dont need to get a conversion ballast btw, a conversion bulb is all you need. they dont cost that much more that a regular bulb, i forget though........

can you explain why this switching thing works for me please.
