Yeah and im followin them right, but it starts at 10.000 when i put the weight on then it drops from there. Is the weight a little light maybe?

hey BBN i got the same one and it acts weird to ill do the calibration on it and then when i weigh the weight it doesnt weigh 10 it weighs 9.999 and then keeps dropping to like 9.998, 9.997, etc.

WHat i would do is calibrate it with the lid on, on the floor or somewhere that doen't vibrate, let it stand till its done, then weigh the weight with the lid closed, and note the weight after about 5 minutes, by which time it should have settled. Then add whatever I was weighing to the plate without removing the weight, and do the math. You can google some coin weights on google and see how it works out in a test.

Always weigh on a flat surface... otherwise, the weight will keep on jumping to different weights!

That scale is pretty decent... haven't had any troubles with mine. Although, I've read some people's reviews on it and complain about the battereis draining while the device was off. Not sure of that problem as mine has worked with no outstanding complaints!

I got two units, one for me and one for a friend, both still running on original battery after more than a year of near daily use.

K cool. Well i weighed it on what i thought would be a more flat surface and it said 10.002 so i think it is the uneven surface

I have the same exact one from ebay, and ive had it for a while and it works good for weighing JWH-018 and its been running on the same batteries. But i hear the same high pitched noise haha, ANYWAY just use the white manual they gave you to put it under one of the corners of the scale and it should be flat, because mines not flat and it wasnt the table.
