Mexican seeds.

Hello everybody, its my first time posting on here, long time smoker first time grower.

This season ive really been interested in growing, ive done quite a bit of research on how to grow and my plants needs, and i am starting one plant outdoors and one seedling outside of my window until its big enough to veg on its own outside, or possibly... Flower.... :]

Anyway, I have been looking for seeds of some of the finest dankety dank, but all the shit i can currently get ahold of is sensi, so i have to resort to mexican brick weed..... yuck....

I don't really plan on spending money on high quality seeds right now until i get a little more seasoned at growing, so i was wondering.. With the proper outdoor treatment, and keeping the women from being harassed by my males can the sensimilla i grow still produce a decent quality bud that i can possibly grow in the next season and possibly enhance the plants genetics over time?

Note: The seeds still looked very healthy, I only picked a select few. Greenish tan with the tan "veins" along the side.

I have gotten some potent weed from mexican brick weed, I'm guessing that they mostly bring in Ruderalis which is autoflower and isn't much potent, actually gives a headache. Just order from attitude seeds, I live in california and get my seeds within day from Europe.

I take it that autoflower means it is meant to flower according to age and maturity rather than light cycle?

Just a note here.
The word is sinsemilla
Spanish for:
sin=without
semilla=seed

You can keep the strain going indefinately by cloning, but that would mean setting up an indoor grow to keep it going during the winter. All the plants will be the same as the plant you take cuttings from. The only way to enhance the genetics would be to grow a male plant with kick ass genetics and breed them. It can be done. :peace:

Well yes i am aware of what sinsemilla is, I guess it was my fault for not being clear.

But what you said just ruined my plans of what I had in store, I was gonna grow my female, clone it, and pollinate one of them with one of my males... but as i think of it... It is pretty illogical so thats out the window. Because, the dank strand I was hoping for will only survive through cloning, and right now i dont have the money for an indoor grow room.

But oh well, i hope i get some decent sensi from this plant anyway.

Sorry if I came off sounding preachy or like I was trying to give a Spanish lesson. And yeah, it takes a lot of bucks to get set up to grow indoors. I have built a new hydro setup and have already dumped about $1200 into it with no end in sight. It will be worth it though. Should be getting 12-14 ounces every 3 weeks or so. Good luck, I hope you get some kickass smoke from your grow.

there is nothihing wrong with growing out seeds from mexi weed. you might find some keeper phenos. i got some growing outside now and they do great they dont even need me to grow. most mexican weed is hybrid to some degree, and some are even crossed with canadian and dutch and westcoast genetics. they finally caught on huh? lol. im willing to bet out of 30 females mexican plants you will find 3-4 real dank ass phenos

There was a time that a number of very high quality landrace strains existed in Mexico. Some became famous like Acapulco Gold and Oaxaca Gold and some never achieved fame mainly due to not being nationally distributed but they were still very good.

An online friend sent be a number of Mexican sativa beans he got from a friend who had collected various different quality Mexican strains over the years and what grew from them was very good and nothing at all like the Mexican brick-weed that so many people today know about. It was like the old days, like the 60’s and 70’s Mexican that would get you very high and keep you very high for a fairly long time and make you laugh and laugh and laugh. It was true giggle-weed.

But that all died out and the over-dried out pressed brick-weed replaced it and soon that became the perception of what Mexican strains always were even though that is not the case. If someone can find some true old school Mexican beans there is no shame in growing them.

If not I do agree with ordering from a quality seedbank like Attitude or several others. Very good genetics can be purchased inexpensively so even a first time grower should not be worried about some great expense or large investment possibly being lost if they screw up. What they will end up with if they have even just half-decent luck will more than worth what little expense quality genetics will cost them.

I grow a strain which came from Mexican weed. we decided to grow out a couple bag seeds of some extremely dense, nice looking bud. seedy as hell, but we'd be high for hours on end and extremely couch locked. well the plants we ended up with were all very Indica dom and kush like in smell and taste. it's been a great strain to grow potency wise but still only a moderate producer. the strain itself seemed stable, as all of the plants were identical when grown out the first time. I love growing out bagseed, never know what little surprise you'll get... I call it Senõr Kush

p.s. a lot of drug dealers brought in plants from the hindu kush region to mexico for commerical growing in the 1970-80s. so that would explain how those genetics ended up there.

Most of the problems with Mexican weed is not genetics at all. It is the way it is grown, dried, cured and stored(as in: bricked tighter than a virgins you know what). I have grown a lot of bagseed over the years and have gotten some really good smoke out of it. And I remember those fine landrace strains we used to get back in the 60's and 70's. We used to go to Laredo and pick up pounds for $40-60. If you were stupid enough to go across and bring it back you could get it for $10-20 a pound. My favorite was always Oaxacan.

Well im done with those mexican seeds now, I woke up with quite the horror this morning!

It seems my little nephew that my mother takes care of during the day has found my potted plant in the back yard outside my window D:
Either that or well a pretty bad storm came through last night, fealt like a tornado coming through. (Literally) But there was a pile of soil next to my upright standing pot...

So my money is on the lil rascal.

Anywho im not worried about that at all, my best friend whom which I'm always over his house gave me about 13 seeds of bagseed from his mothers finest chronic...
I mean, we smoke this shit all the time and it is a heavenly aroma every time.
homegrown throught his family and always looking to improve im glad i got ahold of these seeds :D
These suckers are pretty plump next to the normal seeds i find also...

Germing right now, anxious for the next 48 hours so i can get these puppies in soil.
