Got some seeds out of a bag of mexi brown just to see what kind of potential it would have. Also grew the old stand by because, I didn't know what I would end up with.
I was only able to germinate 3 seeds. I started them indoors and july 1st they were put outside. I got a little behind on things. My other plants had been in the ground for a month and looking good. The plants were put on a four cubic yard compost pile. I've grown several different ways and this one just seems to be the best hands down. As soon as they got settled in they just took off like a bat out of hell! By september 20th all three where 8 feet tall and 6 foot wide with fan leaves a foot across and 1 week into flower two male one female. I chopped the males and topped the female and trained her into a bush (growing big plant on compost hard because the soil is so loose, one good wind will up-root a 8 foot giant easy thats why I topped her in a more managable size). Before I topped her she look just like a 8 foot pine tree it was classic. She recovered perfectly from the topping and I ended up with 13 cola's 3 feet long. She flowered very very sloooowwww. I let it finish as long as I could. She lived through a hand full of frosts and even kept going after the killing frost and a 2 inches of snow. It warmed up again and I let her go for one more week. Then the ground froze and I copped her down about november 15th. Hung her the shed, trimmed and let her dry. The trim work was awful not like my other strain witch grows 3 foot tall and is really just one big long cola with few leaves. The yeild was bad a touch less than a half pound and I have two five gallon pails of trim. I filled a few jars and kept an O to try.
I smoked it one morning and first thing I noticed is the smoothness of the smoke kind of like velvet going down it wasn't even cured yet. second thing I noticed was the taste sandal wood, earthy, and smooth. Just a joy to smoke. The high, took a few bowls to get a nice high but, also has a high ceiling. All in the head, no body, very motivational, good mental focus.
In conclusion, growing was a breeze, yeild was poor but needed no cure time, smoke taste was wonderful, high was great after you smoked enough to get there, strength was poor but it had a high ceiling.
I know there's a lot of you that don't have good seeds avalable to you so I thought I do this one for all you just so you know what your up against.
