I hate looking at a 'metal' page and all I see is Judas priest.
Yes they're awesome. But don't be that guy that just posts priest and says 'im metal'. Priest is great, don't get me wrong but it's just so puppies and kittens.... There's a whole world of metal out there. Expand. Enjoy
I agree for the most part. New releases by NWOBHM bands still needs room for a good listen though. I've been stunned by Halford's recent vocals as a 72 years old.

Not taking anything away from ol Rob, but you'd be surprised what they can do in the studio.
A lot of bands are using studio production as a big part of the live shows now as well. Some of them are via DAW for all the extra tracks involved in the setlist, but the singers still use vocal "sweeteners" in a number of cases. Not the auto tune shit, just basic recording add ins and effects for the overall mix and production. I think it's a great addition, especially when it's coordinated with the light/smoke shows etc...

Reminds me of another tune.. :leaf:
I recognize the vocals and style from some of Arjen Anthony Lucassen stuff. He taps into a lot of really good musicians. Not sure if these guys were in any of his stuff, but it comes from the same vein.

What a show from all 3 bands. The venue is an old Cathedral with a tilted floor that was built in 1925 for the Army and Navy. Crowd was an Edmonton Metal crowd, so spectacular as usual. Dude in front of us traded places for my shorter daughter to be right up front. Had a great conversation with the younger guy throughout the show. Fucking fantastic time!!!
