I got a friend that always puts aside the seeds he finds in his dro and he only smokes good shit so its a WIN WIN haha damn now that i start talking about it i JUST remembered i have like 4 seeds in my drawer from him #stonermoment. Time to germ out some more beans for outdoor 2011 season

Bro, like you wouldn't believe! I just put 11 of them into a neatly folded paper towel, into a ziploc bag, and directly underneath my cable box...I've had 100% success this way for the past 4 times I germinated.(if you count the single Blue Mystic and homer371's Dr. Grinspoon I did the other day) Over 30 seeds and and every one popped? Gotta be doing something right...lol...So I just keep doing it the same way

Yeah, I guess this guy has a kid, so he doesn't wanna grow...But he used to. I guess he also tried to quit smoking weed...I think he lasted a couple months, haha! But yeah, surely it was a sweet score...Guess it finally payed off being known as the "super stoner" at work...lol
Not only would I be pissed, but i'd take it back! Naw, it was someone's brother who bought the sack, he got it on discount cause it had seeds in it, so he knew what he was getting himself into. I was just working one day when someone pulled me aside and told me their brother had like 20 seeds "from a bag of weed called Skywalker, you heard of that shit?" And I said "Yessum sir, I believe I have", the rest is history. I should ask if he saw any male flowers or bananas on the bud he bought too, to see if it was a selfed hermie. If it was a "true" female pollinated with hermie pollen, I think I'm cool(might have some hermie, but a lower percentage), but self-pollinated hermies produce a higher percentage of hermaphrodites, I believe....Someone correct me if I'm wrong
But yeah, sweet deal on the free seeds...I have 11 germinating, and 15 I have put away into my growing seed collection. I only hope some bomb genetics just fell into my lap, but there is always the chance that I'm gonna get skunked and they all turn out hermies...lol...As long as I catch 'em before the ruin the rest of the plants, right? (knocking on wood) Naw, it's not like I don't stare at my plants for hours on end when they're budding, so I usually catch changes in growth...especially obnoxious yellow banannas or ballsacks growing on amidst the calyx's. But I have high hopes for them, and of the 11 I have in paper towels currently, I'll probably grow half indoors and flower pretty early...so if they turn out to be shitty or amazing genetics, I know what I'm in for outdoors...I will also probably intentionally light stress the indoor Skywalkers in flower to see if the full moon will cause the outdoor plants to hermie.

Well, something ate the healthy clone last night, my guess is a cute cuddley bunny rabbit, or some sorta rodent. Something had to be done, but seeing as I left for work early this morning, I couldn't address the problem until now. Here's my 30 minute solution... I'll end up fixing it and pulling it all together more in the next few days, but I couldn't let the babies go unprotected for another night!

It's grey screen around the sides...25' was just about 1 foot shy, so I finished off the corner with 4 mil. plastic sheeting. The top is 4 mil plastic sheeting as well, and I pinned some to the deck it sits on to prevent creepy crawlies from coming up between the floorboards. Yeah, I know it's not completey bug-proof, but for now it'll suffice, since it's just for the seedlings anyway. And it should keep away any mammals that wanna make my baby plants dinner!
Plus, when the seedlings get transplanted, I'll eventually re-purpose the PVC into a canopy to keep the plants covered in fall, if not sooner. There are 8 pieces 6' long, should make a nice A-frame roof, since I also bought some 45* angle fittings as well.

What's up Meta. Looks like your in for a good summer. How the hell do you have time for all that work with all that good cooking you do? I just got started with my outdoor grow. Alot smaller than yours. I 'm going with 4 Barney's LSD, 1 G-13 Pineapple Express, 1 Res. Prev. Kandy Kush(I think it was cracked before I soaked it) and maybe a Lemon Skunk. Also growing some veggies and marigolds to mix in and help control some bugs. All in 7 gal. pots and smartpots. Subbed, Good luck and peace, jethead

OOoh...Kandy Kush is on my list of "want to try", And I was thinking of growing some veggies too. Gonna put a citrus tree in soon, a little misdirection for the neighbors...lol...As for making time to grow, well, I do a lot of transplanting at 1 in the morning...haha, you know, the life of a kitchen slave for sure. This will actually be my first time trying smartpots, but I've heard and seen great things from them. This week was pretty easy, the catering gigs yesterday went off without a hitch, and we did another buffet for 150 today. Should have a nice easy week ahead, that is until Mother's day sunday, the bane of my existence! LoL
I never used smartpots myself. Want to do a side by side comparison with the LSD's. I used to like doing buffets once in the while. It always seemed like a break.

Just watered a bit, thought I'd post a quick vid of the garden's progress. Since something ate the clone the other day, I responded by transplanting 3 more outside today. I also added some large binder clips to keep the screen attached to the PVC around the bottom edge, seems like a perfect fit. Still have some improvements to make, but so far so good, and hopefully I can get a lot done thursday when I get paid.

Anyway, I think they're growing nicely, though it's always hard to tell when you see their progress every day. Think it's just about time to start them on 1/4 dose of some veg nutrients, and we'll take it from there.

Thanks, now that I have a mosquito protected area outside, I'm tempted to sleep out there Starting to come together, hopefully my next paycheck will finish off the bulk of my purchasing for this grow, aside from incidentals along the way. Just 2 more holes and a yard of soil to go! Also need some nutes, going with DynaGro for the potted plants, and was thinking some sorta aerated tea for the organics, but the more I think about it, the more I just wanna be able to pour something out of the bottle. Open to suggestions.

Yo, yeah, vids are on youtube, I think homer posted the link for ya! I would LIKE to cook my soil for a month, but it'll probably end up cooking for 2 or 3 weeks...I just turn it over every few days after the initial wetting. And it's only going in the bottom half of the holes, the top half is getting regular Patio+ so I don't burn the little plants when they get transplanted.
Awesome, glad to hear the girls are treating you right! Cant wait till June, gonna ask off from work soon, and since I normally have Mondays and Tuesdays off, and the 25/26th is Saturday and Sunday, then I might be up there an extra day...depending on my unds at the time! And yeah, the PVC netting contraption I built is juust for the seedlings. As soon as they get transplanted I'm gonna break that thing down and make it into a REAL "carport" design, with an A-frame roof and the whole deal. The one I have up now is only 4 feet tall, and I need at least 6 more feet (hopefully) of head room for the plants.

Here's a quick vid of some mutant stems growing on a plant from one of those humboldt seeds. The genetics of these seeds is slowly revealing itself. I already suspect they're going to take long to flower, have several sativa traits, and these mutant stems MAY be a result of stress I induced upon the plant due to some experimental de-foliation. Anyway, never had this on a plant before, so my guess is the genetics or the stress...lol

homer...As for dealing with the smell, I'm going to hope my neighbors don't mind too much...LoL...I'm lucky that I'm not right on top of them, but I mean it's a legal grow, so if worst comes to worst, I get a visit from some law enforcement agency, they check out my garden, and the next time the neighbors call the cops they won't even bother coming out. But it wasn't an issue last year, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
I'm totally gonna get a VIP pass for the MediCup too, if I can afford it. Time to break out the piggy bank!
