Messing with the light cycle from time to time

So guys, i'm growing these two babies outdoor and now that I want them to flower, I started getting them inside to reduce light time and get approximately 12 hours !
Problem is, yeterday I wasn't home and I kept them outside so the light cycle was broken down ( they didn't get their 12 hours in dark ), It was the first time that happens .. is it really a big deal ? Or one time doesn't really matter ?
