Medical marijuana costs to rise amid Health Canada changes

I agree that the MMAR program needs an overhaul but for HC to take away our right to grow our own and then JACK the price up which will make it unaffordable for most is nonsense and we should not be accepting this. I wonder if this lady is just saying $8.80 a gram cause thats how much it costs HC to produce it and then they sell at a loss for $5.00 a gram.
I figured it cost me just under a dollar a gram last time and $1.10 the time before that. So right now my costs are somewhat affordable
10 gpd $300-$400 a month
New system 10 gpd $2640 a month. Who can afford this.
I have every intention of continuing to grow my own until a more affordable way becomes an option. I am not willing to become poor because of my disease. Nor should anyone else.

I agree with you 110%. I hope somebody takes HC to court over this.

no more designated growers?

unless someone takes HC to court and you win. The new laws state no more growing for yourself and no more designated growers unless you attach yourself to a designated grower who has upgraded to a commercial scale operation and has applied to health canada for a permit. And if you do grow on your own and you get caught mandatory minimums are in place thanks to Harper. Better get out and vote come the federal election!
