Medical Cabinet concept

Hey everyone! :-P

First post here, and I'd like some ideas with my design; this is the cabinet I will be using:

It is a DOMBÅS wardrobe from Ikea, the dimensions are: Width: 55 1/8 " Depth: 20 1/8 " Height: 71 1/4 "

I'd like to go for a perpetual SOG grow, where I could harvest every 2 weeks.
I will ONLY be using CFLs with an organic coco/perlite blend (70/30)

I'm thinking I could split up the right side into 3 sections:
Lowest area would contain a mother plant
Middle area would be for clones
Upper area would be for first week of flower

In the mother area I was thinking two 6500k CFLs @ 23W on a 24/7 lighting schedule
In the clone area I was thinking one 6500k CFLs @ 14W and one 2700k CFL @ 14W on a 24/7 lighting schedule
In the week one flower area I was thinking two 2700k CFLs @ 23-34W on a 12/12 lighting schedule

Now onto the left side:
Since I have so much headroom, I'm thinking of using the upper 1/3 area for the electrical equipment.

I will be building a lighting fixture similar to this:

I'll be using 10 CFLs @ 23W and I'll only be using 2700k CFLs to help keep stretching to a minimum.

I'll be using 4x4 wood posts cut to various sizes to raise the plants closer to the light.

The plants will be in 1L Aquafina bottles cut down a bit (reduce reuse recycle!)

For air intake I will be using 2" black ABS 90° elbows (saves the time of painting the inside) one in the mother area, two in the main flower area.

Each compartment on the right side of the cabinet will have 1.5" ABS 90° elbows alternating on each side.

For exhaust I have some 5" axial AC fans, IIRC they are 200-250 CFM (I'll update this weekend with pics) one will be in a down spout from the upper flower chamber (right side of cab) area and one will be for the flower room exhaust

For odor control I want to use a "ONA Bucket" on my exhaust which will sit outside the cabinet area.

Sooo, I'm wondering what you guys think of this design concept?..

Also here is what the wardrobe / cabinet looks like closed:

Pretty sexy huh? :hump:

Hey man, I'm liking this concept. The cabinets look super stealth.
On the right you can hold onto a few mothers by taking out a couple shelves and on the bottom you can keep clones...

Thanks! :)

On the right side I was to split it into 3 areas, one for mothers, one for clones and one for the 1st week of flowering (I wont be vegging at all) I want the mothers on the bottom and the clones directly above the mothers, since heat rises it should help promote faster root development from the clones...

I don't have this cabinet yet as I'm moving into a new place beginning next month. So right now, I'm just trying to work out all the theoretical issues I might have.

Thanks :)

I still have to do some more research into mother plants and cloning. I've heard of "bonsai moms" so I'm going to see what that is about and if it can benefit this grow.

What I suggest for you to do is remove the first shelf and the third shelf on the right side and keep your mothers in those 2 areas..The last little area can house your nutrients/equipment?

Thanks for the comment! :) The shelves are semi adjustable, I wont be leaving them in the "standard" configuration. If push comes to shove, I can get some mini L-Brackets :)

Also, I just inherited a 32" TV cabinet with doors that close, So I'm going to check it out next weekend and see if I can put the mothers in that.

And here are the specs of the fan(s) I want to use: My Fan

I thought these were higher CFM, I have four of them though, So maybe I'll have to get creative with them :?:

I'm going to pass on some unsolicited advice :-) I would try to grow a shorter/stouter/quicker maturing Indica initially. Growing in a small space like that is the most challenging way to grow...it's much easier to grow a whole room full of big plants (I've done both and the tight stealth grows were hardest by far.) Obviously you are limited by stealth so I would try to get the fastest harvestable plants you can to start, then go for longer maturing varieties after a grow or 2. It feels really good to get that first harvest done successfully!

I also use bonsai moms in order to stay under the 12 x 12 law. Marijuana plants are pretty tenacious, so when ever they exceed 12 inches I just hack them back down. Whenever I need clones they are there waiting for me. Going stealth though, you could almost be better off networking and just getting fresh clones from someone else each grow rather than dedicating you limited space to mother plants...just a thought.

Best of luck to ya! Cheers.

Well if you want quick quick, go 12/12 from seed/clone and perpetual the crap out of the grow :)

But you probably already knew that :D
