Meanwell HLG replacements

Any of you LED guys use the SE models as a replacement driver of HLGs.

SE-450-24 Driver instead of an HLG-480h-24

Minus the 30 watts or so difference. They are very similar. Run 10 F562b 3k strips. I'm running the HLG-320h-24 driver on them now. And they can be pushed alot harder. And I really dont wanna pay over $100+ for the hlg480h driver. Any comments or info would be helpful.

They are relatively close. A few less watts on the Se450 but more voltage adjustment.
The HLG will do 20.00 amps @480w
dc voltage adjustment 20.4vdc - 25.2vdc

The SE450 will 18.80 Amps @451.2w
Dc voltage adjustment 21.6vdc - 28.5vdc

Both single outputs

There have been builds with the LRS series, similar to those.... Small drop in efficiency for the upfront savings.
What has always steered my back to the HLG line? "Suitable for damp locations"....

Yeah they def arent good for damp locations. But I have my drivers mounted in a box on the wall with pc fans one intake and one exhaust. I'm running 10 of the 560mm f series gen 3s. F562b I believe. On a HLG320 and was thinking about bumping it up to the hlg480. But the price is way too much. Was thinkn about using the SE450 on the 10 strips. To give me a bump in wattage.

Edit: run in parallel. When I first did the light build. Ledgardner had the 10 strips running on the 320. And now the Samsung tool says 10 need a 480. I think I maybe over driving the driver being only a 320 on 10 strips in parallel

So I was thinking about buying the se450 to run the 10 strips on. Then using the 320h for other strips in a different tent. I just wasnt sure if that driver would work. It doesnt say if its CV or CC just says its a switchable driver. Which means only AC voltage in.

Or the RSP-500-24 does 21.0a at 504w with dc voltage adjustable from 20.0vdc - 26.4vdc may even be a better choice. Running with at like 75%

Are they waterproof? Is the case grounded?

No they are not water proof. But that's not a concern for me. I have my drivers mounted in a box on the wall. No where near any liquid. Jus trying to bump up my strips a bit. I'm running an hlg320 on 10 of them. I think the se450 would be better. Run the strips a tad harder. I jus wasnt sure if it would work. They dont show if they are cc or CV or both.

Yeah i can get the se450 for 50 bucks shipped to my door. Jus wasnt 100% sure it would work. I'm running 10 strips. On a 320h. Maxed driver out. Gets a tad warm. I think the se450 or the rps500 would be a better option for less money.
Go for it! 110v-240v?

110v I'm jus unsure of the se450. Being only 18.8 Amps. Not sure they will work. Idk if they cc or cv I cant find any reference to it. And drivers are nonreturnable. I hate to have one setting in my closet for no reason. I have so many lights and parts its unreal. Another door stop is something I dont need. Lol

I dont think these will work. I believe the se450 puts out 18.8amps constant. No matter what the voltage is set at. I dont want 1.88 Amps being thrown at the LEDs when its dimmed down to say 21.6vdc anyone know if the amperage is adjusted as well I only see 1 pot on these drivers. Which is for voltage I believe.

Look at the LRS series MWs..... That's what nfhiggs (RIP ) used for his awesome "budget" no frills, Samsung strip units....
