  • Well i decided to do a small grow with 2 clones. it will be all organic grow with only 1 200 watt cfl for veg and bloom.
i will be using my own soil, perlite, chicken shit, my own compost, and if needed some dr. earths all purpose fert.
i just got 2 clones in dixie cups today, the cup says dream bud, but i was told by the clinic they were blue dream so im calling them blue dream.
i will transplant them in about 1-2 weeks into 1 or 2 gallon pots ( nothing big). I cant let them get to big or i wont have enough light for them.

this grow is also to some what prove that good quality bud and a decent amount can be grown for virtually free. every thing i have was either given to me or i already had it. so far i have payed 20 dollars for the clones. i dont plan on spending any more money on this grow at all.

any who i will post pics every week of progress. i plan on flowering in only 1-2 weeks from now.

every one is welcome here. feel free to ask questions and make suggestions.

    please no BS Drama

My daughter just got back from trimming in Cali a few weeks ago and brought some of that Blue Dream back with her. Not bad stuff

Checked out McPurple's Vegetable Garden thread, and there is some good stuff there. I am excited to see how this experiment goes. One thing I was thinking when reading this thread is that most people do not work on a farm and have all the soil, pots, fertilizer, etc you have on hand. It might be nice to show how much that dirt would cost a regular joe to put together, and how much soil your recipe would make when bought. Also, what does a light like you are using cost, so the folks out there know how much they will spend on lighting. I think most people would have to buy these things, so it might be a neat thing to include those costs? Just a thought. I think your experience on the farm will certainly lend itself well to this experiment. Good luck. And anyone that has not done so, you should check out McPurp's Veggie Garden stuff.

well i know im gonna get shit for this but i tossed the clones. the only reason i threw them away is because ever since ive got them ive had this very bad feeling, like paranoia, anxiety, and just a weird feeling i cant explain. its the same feeling i had right before my door got kicked in a year and a half ago. so i decided to trust myself this time and get rid of every thing in the house and on the property. im doing nothing wrong or illegal but i just hate that feeling. in 8 months when im off probation i will for sure be growing but most likely with a 600. i will still do a grow under just the cfl though to show it can and will be done.
please dont talk bad or any shit to me as i did this to feel safe.

om another note i will never buy clones from thats so norml. i went to medford and got them, the owner said he only had 6 for sale at 10 bucks a piece. he claimed they were fully rooted before they got put into dirt and that they were almost 2 weeks old, he also claimed that theri were no bugs, well i founds mites on both of them, and when i pulled them to toss in the fire place they had no roots at all, they looked like they were cut off the mother put in soil, and sold the same day, i dont know if i just got a bad deal or if ths is how they work but it sucks.
\peace every one and merry christmas

Not trying to start anything, but I noticed you grow for yourself, and also have someone grow for you? Do you change your paperwork every winter, after the outdoor harvest? I am thinking you probably do.

Also, when I worked at a dispensary, our clones went like this......the clones i would have never even accepted as good clones at the dispensary were 10 bucks.

The decent clones of decent genetics were 15 bucks or so.

The really good stuff was typically 20-25 a clone. I think you probably made a good decision in scrapping those clones, from the sound of it.

I am disappointed that we are going to miss out on seeing the results of this experiment. I am not surprised about the clones being crappy.....about half or more of what I have seen have been really sorry looking specimens. Literally, at OMMProviders, I told the owner that he should not even accept a set of clones from a guy because they were SOOOO bad.......the next day, the owner had them in his shop, for donations of 10 dollars. You get what you pay for, unfortunately.

thanks for not giving me shit guys.
and yes i do change my grow site and grower so it stays legal. the way i was doing it wa i grew for my self in the winter and then signed on a grower to grow for me in summer time cuz i lived in the city, after harvest i take my card back.
it was a bit harder to switch this year as the price to just change growers is now 100 bucks.
i will be doing this grow for sure though, some time soon, i hope. if you guys are still around on RIU then you can watch.
thanks again for not giving me shit on this
