Bubbles are the key :-)

UPDATE: DAY 6 of 18/6.

Pebble layer is purely decorative, I live by the beach!! :-)
It must be a bitch laying out on the beach if the beach has that many stones. LOL

I like the look of the pebbles. I use them in my tank with the water and I use them in my basket. I started my plants in rockwool first so I was just trying to use them to hold the plant in place, but they seem to be giving me a good side effect. I think that it helps keep my water cooler, I wouldn't say cold but cooler. About 70*.

Hi Maturesmoker ive enjoyed your previous grow very much & got a question for U, what fan youre using for exhaust and do you have any odour control?cheers

UPDATE DAY 11 of 18/6.

jjmd, I'm glad things are going well. Got a journal?

SICC :-) I'm pretty baked on a scone now! I allow .5 gram per scone and everything goes in, I dont strain my butter at all, it all goes back into the scone mix...these are pretty strong, 1 per night for me :-) I'll post the recipe here for you, they can be made really fast and then frozen :-)

Right, the grow tonight. Looking OK to me, slight difference in size but one hit the res faster than the other 3!

Also a shot of those nasty, useless CFL's . I'll increase to 400watts for flowering and raise the tank. Last grow (in soil) I broke the 1oz dry personal barrier for a 2 week vegged plant grown under CFL's, its taken me 2 years to do that!

So...... I'll set my modest target. I need 3oz fully dried and cured from this grow, and thats about 4 months supply for me, I want nothing more.

Cheers,
ms.

Edited* Haggis, those are just bathroom extraction fans, one in and one out, way better than PC fans but not as good as a proper RVK fan to be honest, do the job here though.

Aw, a fellow baking enthusiast I see ? Awesome ! I am a big fan of Budder. I normally make mine with 4 ounces of skuff per pound of butter (4 cubes in the U.S.). Makes it plenty potent. Just can't beat the high. I am a heavy smoker as well, but gotta have a cookie or two every week to spice things up. Have a batch of chocolate chip cookies I am finishing up.

Some of my favorites have been Banna nut, chocolate cake with special chocolate frosting, and I make some killer chocolate cookies with white chocolate chips. I used hash budder in that recipe vs. regular budder. Makes em a little extra "silly". Fun times.

Anyway, just wanted to stop in and say Hi. Plants look great. I think 3oz. is a reasonable goal. Plan to LST these like your last grow ?

Hi RPsmoke :-) Thanks for looking in here again and good to learn that you are another baking enthusiast! I'm pleased with the last batch of scones, I worked on half a gram per scone and they work pretty well . I find the stronger you make them the harder it is to disguise that 'skunky' taste but thats the trade off.

Re: LST I might just let these go but maybe PINCH & BEND the main top over to control any stretching this time.

SICC, thanks again and I'm sorry if we're giving you the raging munchies :-)

UPDATE DAY 13 of 18/6.

Few more pics. PLants have had a light feed. I should say here that I work by what the plant is telling me rather than any structured regime. PH is stable at 6.2 currently. Res remains clean. More roots are now in the water.

Look at those roots grow ! So pretty and clean !

Ya I love to cook. I have learned that the 4 ounces of skuff per pound o' butter works out pretty good (skuff = trim). Not too stanky, but plenty potent. I put a lot of goodies in the mix ( extra chocolate, extra choco chips, etc). But as you say, its a trade off.

Pinch and bend - you mean like supercropping ? Or less drastic ?

And I feel thats the best way to grow, but it takes a little while to get there. The instructions in books and online or more general guides then anything. Help a new guy get started. But once you learn how to really grow, and read plants, it's like growing nirvana ! lol Maybe not that far, but it changes it from a chore into an experience.

Ok, enough mucking up your thread. Happy friday ! :bigjoint:

Im loving the roots as well, its like a lil ladder haha, makes me wanna just climb up it

What is the % of Sativa/Indica in that strain?

Don't want to step on toes, but if I remember it right the genetics of the Mazari seeds are Mazari Sharif x Skunk #1. If so, Skunk #1 is a 75% sativa/ 25% indica cross with a 100% indica Mazari Sharif. So, mostly indica.Wonder if thats the case here with these ?

You are spot on there RPsmoke :-) I enjoy the big Indicas, but saying that its reaching the stage where I do fancy growing a sativa again very soon!

tamjam, thanks for the comments. You already have a good feel for these plants, I can tell that from your journal. DWC increases growth rates and yield but to be honest I don't really veg long enough for big yields as I'm not a heavy smoker thesedays. I'll be switching these very soon!

UPDATE: Day 18 of 18/6. I'm about ready to switch to 12/12 as I'm planning ahead for my next grow already!

All looking OK so far. Had a feed on Sunday and the res has now been changed. Roots are clean and healthy. PH this morning is 6.2.

A few pics.
