ok so I've been reading about co2 the home made co2 ,you know dry yiest and suger blah blah blah!!
I would love to try it but it's and indoor grow. So I have couple questions??

1.will this 1liter co2 be able to kill me lol.
2.how much of it will I need for a PC grow? 1 plant.
3.how long should I let my plant get co2?
4.does co2 work during veg?
5.should I feed my plant during lights on or off?

Basically I need to know how to feed it how much to feed it and can I go overkill on it is too much co2 bad?

Thanks in advance riu
Any other tips welcome..

find a good nutrient base start 1/4 strength and add on to it slowly,
as for c02
1 Plant in a pc case, i dont think u need c02

1) no

3)all day every day wont hurt it you wont be producing enough co2 to reach really high ppms but you will elevate it which is good.
4)feed plants in the morning(thier morening AKA at lights on)this in when they uptake the most water

water your plants once or twice a week(if possible) let your soil stay pretty dry you should be able to stick you fingers in the soil and not feel moistness till about 2-3" down(this is for a well rooted plant mind you, babys and teens tend to need more moist soil). add nutrients at 1/4 dose every other watering or at half dose every third watering.

have nice day:) GL w/ the grow feel free to ask more questions BTW you are probably the best newb(as far as organized questions) ive ever experienced +rep

dont waste your time. just talking to her 2 or 3 times during lights on will give her more co2 than she needs. my co2 gen never comes on when i am working in the rooms because my body is a co2 generator and keeps the levels way above my cut on point.

hey thanks man been lots of help.
and thanks i try to be organize so it will be easier for you guys to reply and focus on my questions?
so im sorry would it benefit my plant during veg.

here is my setup

micro grow: (accordian box) 19"h-10"d-18"length
lights: 4 42w cfls 150w/equivalent total actual watts=126w total equivalent watts=450w for flower!
4 23w cfls sylvania daylight 5000k for veg.
ventalation: 2 pc fans 1 intake 1 exhaust
temps:65f-70f
potting soil: planning on using fox farm soil
nutrients: Fox farm trio! Grow big, big bloom, tiger bloom!
light cycle: 18/6 for veg, 14/10 pre flower, 12/12 flower!
method: scrog grow
seeds: bagseed

also should i turn off my plants so c02 can stay in their or is it ok. i got pretty strong exhaust. and my intake fans are blowing air all the way to the exhaust fan idk if a leak of c02 is bad but then if i turn off my fans temps go up. lol
sorry i just want to get it straight before i do this and kill my seedlings
wich are only 13days old?

Your asking about feeding. So don't waste your time on co2. Find out how to grow first. That is in no way ment for a insalt.

warlock1369-sorry man this thread is not meant to be about feeding what i meant by it was how to give it c02 and how much c02 do i give it?

honeybread-well i was never gonna give my plant c02 but when i saw how easy it is to make c02 well if it does it hurt then why not try it if it helps it you know.
but yea that was my next question so im guessing that you just let sit thier since c02 is heavier then air it will just sink down into your grow box.
but i heard if you an a resivour and put the side the blows out air in the c02 mixture it will help create more c02 not sure if its true though?

henstly play around with it put your fans on a seperate timer and see how long they can be off till temps go above say, 72 then see how long it take to get back tay say 68 and time accordinly with on off cycles since your really only enriching, i would not worry about that part of your grow too too much like warlock is saying but i dont think it will hurt it will help you learn some of the difficulties of sealed/semi sealed grow setups.

just play roung with the timer like 45min off 15min off and such just find a good inbetween of time.

when I used to grow I used CO2 ENRICHA This stuff http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CO2-ENRI...Seed_Starting_Hydroponics&hash=item4abb6b2a23
can someone tell me with the "do it youself" CO2, do you apply it to your resivour, as in the fish tank tecnique so the roots feed on it, or do you just let it flow into your grow room via air?

personally i dont think that stuff will evap into air probably take water to convert. but i cant see that being very effective. roots dont need CO2 they need oxygen. in a fish tank i could see it, but that might actually hurt the fish in high concentration.

I used to set up a slow water dripper onto a bowl of the CO2 enricher, I'm not sure if it ever helped but like the op states "it dosn't hurt"

and thanks for the advice on CO2 to the roots :)

Just one more question guys if any of you have done this homemade co2 setup can you make co2 and put a closed lid on it so it won't feed during lights off"?

Lol no I don't want that... ok so ill try to put the co2 on as soon as the lights turn off that means I have to wait till my day off :(
Thanks guys you all have been alot of help!!!

WTF you are confusing yourself. this on off for co2 in yout setup is not relistic i mean unless you want to do that everyday i would just leave it in there and leave it on.

main thing though, you want the CO2 ON during LIGHTS ON and OFF during lights off(in your case, since there is no way to time it other than manually moving it, i would leave it on all night since it will not affect growth much, if at all.)

Yes that's why I want to install it as soon as the lights turn on like that they get a full day(lights on) of co2 and not really being waste during lights off im not gonna be removing it at all until the co2 is out.

Yea lol thanks though.
Now im looking for how long it will take for the DIY co2 to start reacting.
Some people say 48hrs others say instantly..or it could take only about 1 or 2 hours.. Has anyone done the DIY co2?

add another 2 liter bottel attach a tube to the reacter and into the other 2L bottle(no cap) into some water at the bottom(1/4 full should be fine) you will see bubble come up out of the water.

the yeast will begin to react almost instantly but it will be 24-48 hours before the population is high enough to generate any significant amt of co2.
