Well I figure the 1000 watt DE CMH is probably roughly equivalent to a 1000 watt DE HPS. I haven't had the opportunity to test them yet. I don't want my ballast to hang up by the light, too hard to change them mid run with my setup. I am not sure if operated on an extension cord if there would be RF interference problems that I have heard of. Waiting to hear more on that issue then I may test them in a row or room. Would be nice if they did yield better! and with less heat? Win / Win.

I trust the growers choice fixtures. But I wouldn't ever throw down seedling of clones under 1000 w de anything. So you'd have to consider veg lighting as well. Even if they dim they will cut the bulbs life and your going to be paying $400+ a year on bulb changes.

If it were me, id opt for the (12) qb96, and put two each on a bar with a 600h-xxa meanwell driver and run those over six 2x4 flood tables with clay pebbles and grow monster scrog plants. You get to dim them for seedlings and raise them up for heat/penetration. And not have to replace any component for at least 5 years.

Whatever gets you the coverage you are after bud. Good luck, and just hmu if you have other questions.

Edit:
(is that 40 amps going to run your dehu and 2 ton mini well as your lights and fans?)

I'd also love to have these personally, but there are cheaper options.

Even with a sealed room you need to have a vent fan. The reason is etheleyne gas. It's put off by the plants as they grow and if not vented daily it will build up can cause early ripening and thus loss of yields. If you can vent the air once daily it will prevent this.

I hve gotten awesome deals in mini splits from minisplitwarehouse.com I have two of their midea 4 ton ceiling mount units. They are about $2100 bucks for a 4 ton. They have a 2 ton 21 seer for $1200 - https://www.minisplitwarehouse.com/product/aircon-24000-btu-21-seer-220v-mini-split-heat-pump-air-conditioner-absci4h4s24-absem4h4s24

Of course you will either have to install it yourself or pay a tech. I just did mine myself as I have all the tools.
That is all highly speculative btw. CAN is the keyword in that article and they use it a lot.
