Max LED for 2.5'x7'x8' closet grow?

Long time no see rollitup, didn't realize I still had an account here.

I'm looking for suggestions to maximize a yield in a 2.5 foot wide, 7 foot long, 8 foot tall sliding door closet. I have grown before but took a long hiatus for the past 7 years. I already had the area setup for Hydro (2x aeroponic tubes 7', 6-12 pots), A/C wall mount, Co2 Tank/regulator, light mover rail, ect.

My past grows weren't very impressive in the watts/yield category (~0.6g/watt). I'd like to shoot for 1g/watt, essentially doubling my previous numbers. It's 17.5 sq/ft of SCROG. Should I try some crazy vertical scrog instead because of the dimensions?

I don't wanna use HPS any more, it's just too hot in the small space and it draws too much electricity.

I would like to DIY an aluminum frame setup suitable for my dimensions (I have a 7' light mover). I was thinking 8-10 COBs (or is there something better?) side-by-side on two long skinny rails or one single line 6' long? I have no idea what wattage is advisable for this tiny a space but if people are hitting 1g/w with these things maybe 500w of Mean Wells? Is there a calculation somewhere for sq footage vs wattage? How much heat do these baby's produce? Should I go active or passive heat sinks? My HPS was on a air sealed hood so I could cool the HPS while leaving the Co2 filled room alone. If I vent the air from high temps that wastes the Co2 tanks. It would be nice if they made air-cooled-hood LED hoods, but I digress.

I can run between 6-12 plants but it's such a small space I'm thinking just 6 that have been Vegged for 2 months in my separate veg room (a cabinet 2'x3'x6', also aeroponic). Again I need a calculation for # of plants vs sq ft. I top em into 8-16 mains before flower, veg is a 450w Meizhi LED set to blue.

Any suggestions welcomed!
