Max amount of light during flower.

Hi, Noob here.

Have any of you long term growers every played with > 12 hours of light during flower in order to maximize yield and or shorter flower duration?

I know 12 hours is the known max but wonder if 12 1/2 for instance would help yield or shorten the length of flowering time.

thank you!

It's pretty strain dependent the ideal flowering time.

Someone suggested to me that you reduce from veg lights slowly until the plant starts flowering. That tells you the minimum darkness (which is what is actually used by the plant - not the daylight length) required for flowering.
