Maturing in veg less chance of going herm?

Just wondering, does anyone think it is better to wait until a plant shows sex in veg before putting it into flower? (from seed I mean, since most clones are mature)

Would this put less stress on the plants, waiting for them to tell you when they're ready?

I know they won't flower until they show sex, what I'm saying is that if you wait, while still in veg, for the plant to show sex is it less stressful on the plant? V/s putting it into flower and forcing it to flower early
