Your doing great with your little cab mate, and having a little veg cab is also unbelivably handy I don't know what I would do without mine and all I use in there is 1 23w bulb and does it's job well.

I'm down to an 8th now so I'm not smoking as much as I would like to but I'm not gonna buy any either so got to make this last as I'm determind to keep my self in supply and not have to pay £25 for an 8th. All that will change in a few weeks I'm gonna be swimming in buds!!!

I'm very interested in what you have planned for future lighting. And how long are you gonna veg the BB cuttings?

I really dig your stealth box! I'm working on one now, and I'm having some temp issues (of course), and thinking about trying your method of isolating the cfls in a chamber. I'm wanting to design a box that holds the cfls, with plexiglass on the bottom, and two holes on each of the ends for intake and outtake using two 100mm pc fans, attached to ducting (so i can move the box up and down). How much fan power are you using for your cfl chamber? (I'm trying to use four 105w (400w eq.) cfls in this box). Basically I'm imagining a "cool tube" for cfls, in the form of a box. Do you think that would work? thx in advance

Dude! Change that avatar! That poor little puppy dog face so piitiful, that's cheating. J/K!! Cute pup, but what a pitiful look!

hahaaaa, ok, maybe i'll photoshop a joint in his mouth or something. : ) Ok, i'll take your advice and find another pic of the guy, maybe its cheating a little... although any advantage seemed to have backfired on me in this case!

Either way, any feedback on my proposed sketches above would be very helpful. I'm not sure if there would be enough firepower with 2 fans and probably at least 2 feet of duct hose on each side.

Hi bohicular :-)

I like the look of that 'cooltube' style design. Should work well so long as the fans are powerful enough to shift the air through that length of ducting as you say, which with a 'push and pull' set up should do the job. I use cheap inline bathroom extraction fans in my little box, but PC fans should do as well. let us know if you build it as I'd love to see it working.

UPDATE.
Well, I was stoned the other night and trying to think of new names for the clones/seedlings. It came to me out of the blue, anyone remember 'Captain Scarlett' ? When I was a young kid I loved it and used to think the 4 'Angels' were sexy  So here they are, 'Destiny' 'melody' 'Rhapsody' and 'harmony' :-) 2 Nirvana 'Snow White' feminised seedlings and 2 Greenhouse seeds 'Big Bang' clones. Seedlings germinated 4th July and the clones were showing first roots around the same date.

Also pics of my revegged plant 'perspicacia' now into her second flowering by around 10 days. I had to LST her tops down today as they were stretching a little. She also had a blast with Spider mite control and in the picture shes still wet and just tied down. (black pot).

Other plant of course is 'Widdecombe' nicely into flower now, showing a bit of wear and tear but budding up well for 5 weeks 12/12. (red pot).

'Cynthia' has now been fully harvested and is planted out in the garden. I estimate she has until late August to reveg before she begins to flower again outdoors.

I plan to flower either a Snow white seedplant or a Big bang cutting in a week or so time to keep things rolling over. I may go with a seedplant first and let the clones grow on a little longer.

Thing's seem to be rolling along now. Can't wait to see the Big Bang take off since I am really thinking that is the strain I am going to go with when I finally buy some seed's.

Hi bigman :-)

The BB sounds a good one, and much is made of the fact that its available on prescription from the Dutch pharmacies as a true medical strain. I'm looking forward to getting them into flower.

"Big Bang genetics are of Swiss sativa and Swiss indica. Greenhouse Big Bang feminized marijuana seeds give you an unbelievably strong high, with a clear side and a more introspective one. You will get quite a unique taste from Big Bang, some say it is sweet and multifaceted in flavour.
This breed has the genetics of Skunk, Northern Lights & El Nino. The wonderful side effects from these cannabis seeds you get as the consumer are known for their medicinal and soothing purposes, it is SO good it is even available as a prescription medicine in the Dutch pharmacies!! "

thanks! I think i'm going to give it a shot, (as my setup is already hitting the mid 80's with just one 105w cfl, so i need to do something.) I know a relatively inexpensive metal fabricator who could possibly do the box. Whats also nice, is that if its sealed right, I shouldn't have to push the air thru a carbon filter.

nice charlie's angels reference for the plants, which are looking pretty nice. A reference from my childhood would be daisie dukes or smurfette...

ha ha captain scarlett!!! way before my time though dad ;-);-);-);-)

where did you find that description? that the best one i have read so far im looking forward to it :weed:

hey scored an 8th lastnight, smoked a couple singles last night and i felt numb all over!! i reckon it was something similar to big bang like a medical strain or something, found it a bit harder to wake up this morning aswell lol

loving the re-veg mate, go on get another in that box

mature, i seen this post and thought of you. dont know if you can use it, but if you can I am sure you will be glad to have a few more options. he is saying this TOTALLY got rid of his mites. theres a few more posts before this one with a couple more suggestions for the maliciuos mite, if your interested.
Thanks for posting that Gumball, I do indeed still have my mite issue and I'm always looking round for solutions. problem seems to be that many of these things that work such as the Hot Shot strips and the foggers I cant find in the UK! For the time being I'm just living with them as best I can but when I start my new cab later I want to be 100% free of them, starting again from scratch. As said there oils such as Neem and SMC are not 100% effective but at least they are organic.

Heres a few more pics while I'm here. Widdecombe in red pot (mutant SW clone), Perspicacia in black pot (mutant SW reveg) and the two Big Bang clones just repotted :-) The 2 SW seedlings are doing well and soon to go into flowering, pics of them in a few days.

Sucks that everything isn't available over there for ya, but your garden. Still looks good. I bet steam will help cause the don't humidirty or heat, right?

Steam could well be worth a try gumball :-) mites do not like high humidity as you say. I'm going to do a search again and see if I can find anything like those foggers over here, but I've never been able to find them so far.
