Master Kush from Seed

Hi guys. So this is my first real presence on RIU, however I've been using it as a information bay for the last year or so. I just moved and I'm excited for a fresh start.
I'm going to be using a screen. I used one on my last grow and really like the order of it. It seemed very efficient, and there's no issues with hight or stability.

Just a little FYI, while this isn't my first grow, I am definitely am still a beginner. So don't hesitate to speak up if you see me doing anything retarded. I know it's bound to happen

What I have for equipment:
- 4x4x7 tent
- 5x5x7 tent
- 400w MH
- 400 HPS
- 1000w HPS
- 2 Xtrasun 6" air cooled hoods
- 2 2x4 ebb&flow treys

I have a 5-pack of Feminized Master Kush's on the way from Nirvana.

Here's the plan:
- Veg. all 5
- clone each of them
- flower 'em
- veg. the young'ns
- select a mother based on the performance of the first wave.
- flower the rest
- Order up some new strains
- repeat

I expect that I'll run similar to what I was doing before, as I still have a fair bit of neuts left over. But I think I want to gradually gravitate towards a 99% organic recipe (so I I'd better plan on growing from regular seed lol).
But for now it'll be:
- Bontanicare: Grow, Bloom, Bloom-soil formula, & CalMag
- Advanced Neutrients: Big Bud & Bud Candy... well, I actually may be low on bud candy. Maybe i'll make a switch.
- I'll need to pick up some more microorganisms for my roots. Was using GH's Subculture M & B.
- Was thinking of using hydrozyme starting at switch to flowering. Figure that there's not too many roots dying in the first few weeks.

Picked up something new (to me): Nitrozime Algae extract. "Seedlings: water with solution of 5-10 mL per L of water weekly."

First order of business is to get my prop. box together.
Plan:
- 10 gal tupperware + heat + light + dome = prop. box







The thing glows like a lantern, it's really quite hilarious. No problem though, I'm going to keep her wrapped in a blanket to keep it warmer/consistent.

well I need to crash out. Not really much going on till I get those seeds, just geeking out on the computer late-night. I guess I could put a calendar together

Must have came in the mail yesterday, being Sunday and all. I can't believe how fast they came. Nice!

I wrapped them up and stuck in the box with the mat on.

All 5 have popped in under 24 hrs. I ordered on September 30th, and they're germinated and planted on Oct. 11th. That's under 2 weeks. Nice work Nirvana! If these are hermi-free I'll be a lifetime fan.

Last night I mixed up a bit of the Nitrozime at 5 mL/gal and the PPM's were 400 something. WTF!?!?! that can't be right, can it? I don't have any cal solution for my ppm stick, but it's reading the tap at 40, so I can't believe that it's reading high.
I was uncomfortable putting the seeds into that strong of a solution, so I diluted it down to ~120ppm. I adjusted the pH 5.9, and put 5 plugs in there to soak overnight. I guess I could have just played it safe and stuck with water, but I think I diluted it enough that it almost is.

Today the solution's pH was up to 6.5, but I felt that that seemed like a pretty good spot for it to be. So I left it. So now I have all 5 in plugs in the box, light off. I figured since the seeds had just barely cracked that I'd just leave the light off for a day or two.

But, yea... SWEET! ***Grow started October 11th 2010*** I figure 6-8 weeks until flower??? (first grow from seed, how long till you got yourself a nice 4-6 inch plant?) which makes for harvest about mid January, and maiden smoke first of Feb.

Lol, okay maybe I'm getting a little ahead of myself.
