Master Kush CFL Grow + pics

Hi guys, thought i would post a journal of my current grow, we are two weeks into the grow so i will do a bit of a catch up first.

as you can see i am using a old wardrobe, not huge but enough height and its just for personal use.

lighting at the moment is 6 23w CFL bulbs, i will add more as the plants grow, also two quite large desk fans.

i have created a false ceiling in the wardrobe thats fully adjustable, and i will raise as the plants grow, i have situated two rods, one up either side, this is how the ceiling is held in place, also all the lights and fans are clip on
as the plant grows i will add more lights to the sides of the plants so the light penetrates nice and deep (oh er) into the plant.

this is my first CFL grow, i will use warm CFL's for flowering or HPS, not sure yet, but i would like to see it through to the end with CFL's.

The growing medium is a good potting soil plus about 20% perlite, with some broken pots in the bottom of each pot to help drainage.

i purchased 10 Master kush seeds from nirvana and 9 germinated (i dont use the paper towel method, just soak for 24 hours then straight in the soil)

thats about it, onto the pics, as u can see this is my setup, its very Stealth with no light leaks at all (gotta love gaffa tape)

the seeds are a day old

comments, questions and advice welcome :)

am really happy with them so far, even the one not doing so good has pulled through, am happy with the colour and lack of stretch, i plan to veg them until they get to 2 feet tall then switch to flower

the next question is when to repot, i am thinking a week or 2, they are getting watered every other day, and today was there first feed, just using some basic tomato feed with supplemented Nitrogen, only a very tiny amount at the moment

temp is good, averaging 80 degrees and 45 - 50 % humidty.

no hiccups so far, lets hope it continues

overall i am extremely happy with the grow so far, the total cost of my grow is £60 or about $120 + a very small amount of electric

questions, comments, advice welcome

could u be a little more specific? whats wrong with the pots?

i thought they were growing well for only 2 weeks old and considering i am not producing a huge amount of light ?

You should at least have 4 inches of root space for a seedling. Maybe 5 inches. When I grew my first time around (almost 3 years ago) I had them in 3 inch pots, and I gave a friend some, and he put them in much larger ones. His were twice the size of mine, at 3 weeks. And when I transplanted them, I saw that the taproot went down, make a 90 degree turn, and ran along the bottom of the pots, stunting their growth. They are doing quite well, but they COULD do better. Just a bit bigger pots, and youll be golden.

well thankyou for the input stoner, the pots are about 4 inches across, they are not root bound at all, so not worried about it at the moment considering the amount of plants i see on here growing longer in little plastic cups, i thought i was starting off quite big lol i will keep a eye out to check for root bound but am happy enough so far, thanks for the advice though

It's not so much rootboundness you gotta worry about. It's just the taproot. But if you're getting suitable results, that's cool then. Just thought I'd make a suggestion. Peace, and happy growing.

hey kennethecrack, well i was going to plan to switch to HPS for the flowering, but seeing as i am doing this as a CFL grow, i might just switch the bulbs to Warmer CFL's for flowering.

i know the yield will be slightly less than HPS but its cheaper and will be a interesting experiement for me.
