Do we know any LPs in the area?
If it's for a wannabe without an LOI it's a ways from being a "real job" in my opinion.

Even if I needed a job, I wouldn't want to leave behind my fredom in Colorado to use recreational marijuana and cultivate my own medicine at home.

Especially for absolutely laughable wages. "Hmmm should I stock shelves or work for an LP?"
It depends what your background and position is, and who you are working for. Not all LP's or positions offer laughable wages, it's in the LP's best interest for employees in key positions to be compensated fairly for a number of reasons.

Short of being the "Master Grower " I have not seen a reasonable wage offered for any other position by any LP who has been hiring. Now, for those expecting BM wages I think that's completely unrealistic, but to offer the bare minimum is just disgusting. Then again if the bare minimum is all they offer to patients then why would we expect any different when it comes to employee offerings in terms of wages.

Also, the vast majority of job postings that I have seen do not list wages. Many jobs don't have a posting at all and are purely word-of-mouth or through the online MMJ community. I have spoken with quite a large number of outfits at this point, and in my experience wages in this sector are entirely tied to what you are bringing to the table in terms of education and experience and how good your negotiating skills are.

Like any industry, there are going to be low-paying jobs for unskilled labour, but key individuals in the production, QA, marketing and business side of things will all be paid according to industry standards. This is necessary to attract good employees that are currently working in similar sectors such as pharmaceuticals, NHP production, etc.

I'm not looking to make the jump into this industry to get rich, I'm doing so because I am passionate about MMJ and want to do what I love and get involved in my own way. I would happily take less than what I currently earn to join the right LP that has or will get through the HC licensing web and that is actually committed to providing quality affordable medicine to patients. I'm extremely selective about who I will work for/with, and have already turned down a number of job offers for one reason or another, salary has never been the issue.

Sadly, I think I know the perfect company for you and they're not approved.
Locked up in this mess. If they ever make it through, they would be right up your alley.

I've met a few parties that I would have loved to have worked with, but they were long shots at getting approved IMO so I had to decline. In a perfect world, I'd love to work for a McLachlan Farms-type if any NFP's ever do get approved....I'd happily take a pay cut to work for a difference-maker like that.

Sadly I'm 99% sure those guys won't ever get approved. Great idea, but I've heard it's their second application and there was some serious drama surrounding the first one.. If that's the case it's unlikely they'll succeed unfortunately.

Agreed. However, a QA position in any field pays well. Some of the current LP's(Let's not forget that some are not listed on HC's website) had their wages posted while hiring. Agrima Botanicals, and Tilray being the first 2 that come to mind. They were offering 10.25 an hour for trimmers and around 14-15 an hour for growers.
