as long as you have a bat cave to store them in

or you could just get a coffee/milo tin
are we canning peaches or weed ffs its the glass im on about

it just dont make sense, you spend 1000's on gear, risk you arse going to prison or worse in some places
wait 5 or 6 months for a grow to finish, then dry it,.....

only to then to chuck it in a glass jar, with a boveda, :wall:
A clear glass container that is 100% airtight is an ideal long-term storage container.

Light does degrade weed, storing jars in a cabinet, drawer, box, etc. takes care of that issue.

I would concur, that if storing your weed on a window sill is important; a mason jar is a poor choice.

The most convenient for us has been the cvaults. My brother found one of the 8 liter containers at a thrift store and we already had two of the 4L ones. The 8L one holds about 450g and the 4L ones about half that ofc

Nothing wrong with mason jars. People have been using them for decades. I use them and will continue to do so along with vacuum packing some of my weed and keeping it in the freezer.

Not going to go out and buy some fancy expensive bags just to store some weed. I know some people are constantly spending money buying the latest gadgets, fancy bags to store weed, etc... I'm not one of them. I grow my own weed to save money not turn growing into another endless money pit. If I wanted a money pit I'd buy another boat.

so you should agree then, that a dark canister or tin, would be better than glass
you dont need a cupboard

you guys keep hoarding your old mason jars and hiding them in cupboards im over it
Oddly, it seems your primary concern is lightfastness.

Yes, I would agree that if you insist on storing your weed on a window sill, a translucent container is a poor choice.

Otherwise, an airtight mason jar, stored properly in a cool, dark place, is an ideal long-term storage container for cannabis.

I like well cured weed and when finished, I store in Mason jars and use a food saver vacuum attachment for Mason jars to remove the air. It seals up vacuum tight and I place them in a box for long term storage. The flat sides of the masons makes it easy to package & store, no moisture enters or escapes and never do I leave stored weed in the direct light. What fool would do that?

FWIW, I recently tried some Jedi from 2016 (aged 7 years) that was stored this way and it was just as good as it was when freshly packed away.

We'll all do what we think makes the most sense. Most ideas will work fine.

Do you have any other foreign country sections or just the greatest one?
Actually we do.....we have a foreign food isle. where i live, over 60% of the people are from somewhere else....many some variety of commonwealth or british.
What jars are you using that you can smell it? And sandwich bags are worthless if those are the bags you're talking about.

ball and kerr. sometimes the wide mouthed jars actually seal well. the baggies were to keep the strains separate and not in the CO packaging. if in packaging can be a federal trafficking charge. put a quarter into each baggies with labels, put those into a jar. then vaccum seal a bag around the jars. it fills up an entire suitcase.

I mean we have a foreign isle, which is just concentrated American ingredients in my book. Also the foreign isle the same size as our potato / corn chip isle, and we don't have a lot of natives here either.

I've never seen anything outside of beer imported from Australia, let alone enough items to justify its own section. A whole isle would be bananas. The Mexicans and Chinese combine don't even own that kind of real estate, and we absolutely love their Americanized food. They have to share isle space with the traditional Indians and Jews. And they're fine with that, unlike the Australians. We can change the name of the seafood section if you'd like, but nobody cares about your goofy snacks. The Japanese already won us over in that department.

If you want to get into the majors be like the Italians and sneak in through some sort of "sauce and pasta" loophole and secure half an isle without raising any flags.
