Nice. So does COB LED work better than Mars LED? I have Mars II 1200w. Where do you get the COB Led Panel?

I tried posting this thread to be funny, I thought it got bounced back because I didnt type any words.

Shout out to @REALSTYLES I have been watching his videos throwing these MARS in the dumpster. I was cleaning out my growroom before xmas & had the mars in the trash pile.
I went back and watched Reals video taking apart his MARS to diagnose the dead leds and a light bulb went off (no pun intended)

I think there are 100,000+ mars leds out there, 1/2 or more of them are probably not in use for one reason or another.

This is a build anyone can do! And i think my video is almost retard proof. cheers everybody.

do it man. sometimes these chinese manuf dont have labels on the drivers, so see if you can pop a multimeter on the driver output leads to check the drive current and voltage. tag me in the post if you get the specs. cheers

that was a great quick and cute build. Keep the Videos coming!

personally I find it more productive to gut the units and recycle the drivers and fans into new lights with a better distribution. Otherwise I'm stuck with a whole bunch of lights that need to be hung every foot or two, when I can put a modular 4' light bar every couple of feet.
