Mars Hydro Driver Question - TS 1000

Hello,

I recently bought a TS 1000 off of Amazon. I decided to get another one for a second tent I have but it appears to be a different light. The driver is different, AIN is different, and the dimmer switch is different. I am not sure what to do...

One of them is labeled as...

I thought the price difference was because one included a timer but it seems like one is also brighter than the other. The one with the MOSO driver seems to be brighter. Has anyone come across this before? Should I return the non-MOSO driver one? I figured I was shopping at Mars Hydro Amazon store but maybe not? The pictures are the same for both products and the picture shows a MOSO driver in both. Here are the pictures...

First one is a rip off of mars Hydro If you got it from Amazon you could probably return it and go through the real Mars Hydro store through Amazon or eBay or their actual website

Also it’s funny how the rip off is actually more expensive lol

*edit* Just took a second look & no I’m confused because the second pic with the weird dimmer switch is the same driver that I have on mine but the one with the correct dimmer switch is not the right driver. Maybe they updated to cut costs...

What's crazy is the Amazon product page has the official Mars Hydro store link on the top of the page.

The first one I bought came with a timer for the lights and a little room thermometer. I figured that is why it was $5 more. Argh, I might just deal with it because returning it would be a pain, lol.

The funny thing is that there is someone wanting to make copies of Mars Hydro as if it was a good brand.

I ended up getting an answer from Mars Hydro. Apparently they upgraded the light without upgrading the SKU# so they started using new drivers for their lights. Meh, I'm just going to keep it and see what happens. If I get a year out of it then that should be fine.

It still has 3 year warranty does it not? Should get at least that out of it.

Yeah I believe so! I am only going to be using it for vegging in a 3x3 tent so I am confident it will do fine in that regard. I figured after a year it would have paid for itself.

Its how they keep the light, budget friendly. I bought two of them about 2 months apart. Both directly from mars hydro, one through their official ebay store and the other through their website. Two different drivers like you have pictured the moso one was ebay. I swear one is slightly brighter than the other. It could be my imagination though But they work and carry the same warranty.

I had an exchange with a rep for Mars Hydro which was directly from an LG address.
