The documentary was well done IMO. As a non-smoker who supports legalization, and who is married to a grower (Seamaiden), I wish it would've been a bit more comprehensive regarding legislation and such. Just galvanized my irritation with the Feds though. GRRRRRRR!

fdd2blk - His plants were on what looked like bricks - his pots were at least 3ft off the ground giving him awesome circulation underneath the canopy. I think that's why they looked 10ft tall.

Also, Its sooooo funny to listen to the feds when they talk about yield and $ - totally exaggerated. For instance, on the segment about indoor grow ops popping up all over - the fed said "its no problem for one plant to yield 1lb." WHAT! Whatever sport...........believe me, I WISH! And the money is always exaggerated - maybe if the grower broke up their entire crop into dime bags they might get near the amount quoted..........but the average grower would be lucky to net 1/2 whatever amount they quote.

During the beginning............or, I should say, right at the start. The promo was "And now the PREMIER of marijuana nation" I hope there's more on the way. Last night was kind of a sampling of the issues and culture that surrounds the kind. It would be really sweet if they took each segment and delved deeper into that. But, mainly..........I want more grow ops! HAHA.

you have to look at it as they do. most of the pot does get broken down into small bags. usually lots of 1/8ths. so a pound to the grower may be worth $3500, but the actually value of that pound in the end is well over that. people buy pounds and break it up into 1/8ths and sell it. 50 dollars an 1/8th X 128 1/8ths = $6400 a pound. :blsmoke:

regardless if they were 3 feet off the ground or not, they were strolling underneath them. and yes, those were a pound a plant, easily.

i love pot. :bigjoint:

i know - they always "street value".........I know you can get 1lb per plant. Usually, thats outdoor - with a long veg cycle. The fed that said 1lb per plant was talkin about (i believe) indoor growers harvesting 3-4 times a year. I don't think that's possible........yet.

Regardless though...........what also got me - was 800K marijuana arrests last year! That's why its illegal folks. Imagine the personnel, infrastructure, maintenance, tools and weapons associated with a number like that. Now imagine the FLOW of money, each year needed to maintain all of that. You're talking about a lot of jobs and companies that survive solely on supplying the feds with services to maintain the law.

Now, we could replace that flow with another one based on the hemp seed, but that will take a few years to get investment and infrastructure in place. Over a decade, we've replaced that old flow, and doubled it. That's the logical way to legalization IMO - showcase what hemp can do, which is considerable, and alongside the medical marijuana folks......it can happen.
