Does any one know where I can read more information on Marijuana Tax Stamp Laws And Penalties? I live in utah, and I read that this state has a marijuana tax stamp law enacted.
"This law mandates that those
who possess marijuana are legally required to purchase and affix state-issued stamps onto his or her
contraband. Failure to do so may result in a fine and/or criminal sanction."

In Utah I would say just keep that shit to your self. Penalties for even possession are harsh. I wouldn't even consider growing in Utah as they would just throw every book they could at you. Best advice if your growing is to get the hell out of Utah and find a more "friendly" state.

Hmmm, even though the penalties are harsh in Utah, this does look promising.

Basically the article posted below stats that you can pay 3.50$USD per Gram for a stamp that basically states you have paid for the right to posses and use marijuana, but not distribute.

Would any one else be willing to read through the article below, and give me there input on the matter?

Sorry it is only me responding. I lived in Utah for about 6 years and had my fair share of "experiences" with Utah law enforcement. They treat weed like its meth. In my opinion I wouldn't trust anything law enforcement in UT says. They march to a tune of a different drum out there. I did time for possession...seriously... it is ridiculous. Think about this: If you get tax stamps you still are not "legal" there is nothing in there that says they cant charge you. Except now you have gone to the trouble to get stamps and now they know WHERE you are and That you DO HAVE weed. I would keep to myself... JMO

hmmm, I am starting to think I am in the wrong state. Oh well, I figure I only use what I grow, and that isn't much.

That's interesting.

If you have a lawyer friend or if there is some free state law website for Utah it looks like its worth asking about.

If you have a friend or family member who has no involvement with illegal substances and are pretty open about things, see if they are willing to go buy a stamp for a gram or two for shits and grins and see how that goes.
