Also the show that is ending, which is also on again after the marijuana nation show, is Taboo: Drugs

I just realized that I already downloaded it from alt.binaries.documentaries. Try Usenet, youll never go back to torrents again.

Just watched it. That guy at the end is like the new jack herer, crazy canadian! Atleast it portrayed cannabis in a relatively good light, i still dont understand what the government is waiting for to legalize it.

it's not about right or wrong; good or bad.

the government is a business. the tobacco and alcohol companies have to get something out of it, otherwise what's the point?

sad but true.

and I can only imagine what kind of restrictions will come with legalization.

Imagine they start banning strains with more than 10% THC for example?

Mr. Tobacco isnt the president, is he? And if ur serious about the government banning over 10% potency, havent u considered that if people can grow up to 50% potency now illegaly, it would be cake then.

Switzerland (which is supposedly way ahead of the US for legalization) had a vote in November and a lot of growers voted AGAINST legalizing it! it might sound hypocritical, but the underlying fact is that when it's illegal there are practically no regulations. You can grow whatever you want however you want because it's unregulated.

Once it becomes legal then who knows how much government intervention will there be?

Notice how even in this NH program they repeat that "cannabis nowadays is way stronger than it was back then" with a certain negative connotation... hint hint.

The president is just there to give you the impression that you have freedom, choice, etc. You don't.

we'll wait and see...

I think before they would legalize/decriminalize it, they would start a positive propaganda campaign. Maybe this is the start of it. The only negative points portrayed on the show were the fact that it is illegal and pushed underground to "organized crime". So it's kinda like they are saying that if it was legalized we wouldn't have armed Mexican's sleeping in a national forest protecting their crops.

I like the fact that they are showing stuff like this on tv, maybe we can finally shake off those stupid negative stereotypes about weed smokers that aren't true. Well some of them are, we can be lazy and we do get the munchies.

its great that national geographic/lucy lu ended the show with a question about whether or not one would plant the seeds or throw them out if they acquired some seeds. this is a great step forward and could make a difference to thousands more.
