Christine Suskevich was also charged with discharging a firearm under the influence of alcohol and possession drug paraphernalia.

The couple had been staying in Key West.

She told police she tried to get her husband’s attention after an argument and fired a gun from the kitchen toward a back bedroom, police reports state.

Police said they found some half smoked marijuana cigarettes in a tin can atop the kitchen counter along with a pipe commonly used for smoking marijuana, reports state.

The marijuana was hers, according to reports.

State prosecutors in Key West have dropped a misdemeanor marijuana charge against a Cape Coral police officer.

Officer Curt Suskevich, 37, and his wife, Christine Suskevich, 34, were arrested by Key West police on Aug. 19 on charges of misdemeanor marijuana possession.

The Monroe County State Attorney’s Office last month dropped the marijuana charge against Curt Suskevich.

“The police determined he had nothing to do with any of the alleged crimes,” said Matthew Helmerich, spokesman for the state attorney’s office.

An internal investigation of Curt Suskevich by the Cape Coral Police Department has begun, said Connie Barron, police spokeswoman.

She said the officer, who had been on paid administrative leave, is now on administrative duty until the investigation is finished.

Meanwhile, a trial for his wife on her charges has been scheduled for Nov. 17 in Key West.
