Time to play catch-up! I posted my harvest but not the flowering that was going on behind the scenes, so here we go...

The girls to the left are getting ready for harvest; the plants to the right are in week 1 of flower:
IMG_6039.jpg

After harvest with the younger girls, now in week 2, spread out:
IMG_6073.jpgIMG_6102.jpgIMG_6103.jpg

Onto week 3, you can see the flower sites really starting to develop:
IMG_6111.jpgIMG_6114.jpg

And onto week 4, I love the light shining off of the little puffs of buds...

And we’re back on the air... Busy week at work, but I finally have some nice pics to share :)

Week 5, the girls are looking great. This is when everything starts to really kick in and it gets really fun to watch the plants develop.

A view from inside the jungle:

Some Sour Kush, this strain has really started to become a producer. It’s my favorite smoke, so I’m a very happy girl...

Some pics for perspective with the lights off:

For anyone who’s looking for the first time... thanks... and FYI I pretty much follow the House and Garden recommended nutrient regimen, with the exception that I use MOAB instead of the shooting powder. Sorry H&G :)

As always, questions and comments welcome.

Ironically they are both made from the same 2 ingredients.

Mono-Potassium Phosphate & Potassium Sulphate. ;)
Well, we know potassium and phosphate are the active ingredients here... each nutrient has other different ingredients. Trial and error has led me to MOAB.

Here are some pics from week 6. Everything is developing really well, I’m psyched about the Sour Kush (I know you’re surprised), she’s getting better every time.

IMG_6314.jpg Birds eye view of the forest. I’m always in the garden when the lights are on (for obvious reasons), I need to get in there when they’re off and get some pictures in regular light so you can see how green and healthy they are.

IMG_6322.jpg A greenish pic of the Sour Diesel, looking full as usual.

IMG_6316.jpg Some Sour Kush, I’m drooling a little...

IMG_6317.jpg Frosty.

IMG_6320.jpg Some OG Kush.

I’m really happy with the way things are going right now. The garden has been pretty low maintenance, just watering and nutes as expected. These pics are actually from last week (why is this time of year always so busy?), and I’m going to take some week 7 pics tonight. I’ll start flushing next week, and then the real fun begins :)

This is going to be my BEST Sour Kush harvest of all time. Everytime I go into my garden I’m shocked by how solid and big the buds are getting.

Started flushing last night, got a new shop vac accessory that helps with backflushing, made the whole ordeal much more manageable. Here are some pics, taken last week, from week 7...

Some things that have gone differently this round are that in week 2 of flower I applied a treatment of Bayer Tree and Shrub in response to a (very sudden and very, very annoying) root aphid uprising. As a result, the House and Garden nute regimen was, in a way, pushed back a week (I tried to play catch up within the following weeks but it wasn’t a complete catch up) so they’re ending up with about 5 days longer within the nutrient cycle. I’m thinking that I had root aphids at very low levels for a while (I experimented briefly with a small hydro set up and did find some root aphids at the time, but thought they all went when I got rid of that set up... foolish, I know.), and treating the population boom removed (I can only hope) some negative background noise for the girls. I also upped the amount of MOAB from 1.5 tsp per 5 gal at week 7 to 2.0 tsp per 5 gal (start with 1.0 tsp per 5 gal in week 5, up to 1.5 tsp per 5 gal in week 6 and check pH and ppm, of course). I’m definitely noticing a difference. It’ll be interesting to see how it affects my yields.

Thanks :)

I'm thinking of performing a little experiment next time I flush. I flush more than any other grower I know of, so I'm going to run 2x the volume of my smart pots through the plants, save some of the runoff and test ppm, then flush them fully (to my specifications), and test the ppm of the subsequent runoff. Just curiousity. And science. I shall report my findings back should I remember to conduct the experiment...

Sweet looking grow, mamakush.
It's good to see another LED grower out there, running a garden the size of yours, and getting such results.
I myself am running over 1K of LED in my 8x4 flowering tent and 180W in my 3v3 veg tent.
Keep up the good work :)

Thanks Karma. Any hopes of a journal of your indoor garden? I like a good outdoor grow as mush as anybody else, but I really enjoy seeing what people do with LEDs.

We’re nearing the end of this cycle. I’ve got some nice flushing pics here. Let’s call these pics week 9, with the first bit of flushing at week 8.5.

IMG_6395.jpg Bubba Kush.
IMG_6397.jpg Sour Kush! I may or may not have prematurely trimmed a nug or two from this plant for sampling.
IMG_6401.jpg Sour Diesel.
IMG_6403.jpg Bigger picture, just past week 9. Look at that Sour Kush cola in the back...
IMG_6406.jpg All of the flushed plants moved to the left side of the photo, the new crop moved in from veg and put on the right. I love multiple generations in one tent.

Some pics from a few days later so you can see the progression of flushing. These are 1 full week into flush. At this point, they’ve had about 6 gal water run through each 3 gal pot. That’s about all they’re getting this time around.

IMG_6414.jpg Sour Diesel on the left, Sour Kush on the right. The water leaves are turning yellow quite nicely.
IMG_6417.jpg Another nice full-view. I can’t wait to trim these up, particularly that big Sour Kush bud on the far right.

Despite my root aphid issue earlier this round, I’m very happy with the way things are going. I highly recommend the Bayer tree and shrub treatment (when feasible) for anyone struggling with root aphids, I haven’t seen any of them since I used that particular treatment.

Tune in next time for some excellent trimming pictures.

Edited to add

Here are some pics from two weekends ago, some friends and I trimmed up 12 plants.

First, here are some pics of the flower tent with a couple of the plants to be harvested left in. The younger plants were just flipped into this space, so they’re in week one of flower for the next round.

IMG_6419.jpg
IMG_6423.jpg Some Sour Diesel ready to be trimmed.
IMG_6431.jpg Everything for harvest has been pulled out at this point, only the youngins left behind.
IMG_6437.jpg

Harvest! So glad to finally have some Sour Kush back in my personal stash...

IMG_6440.jpg Bucked and ready to be trimmed.
IMG_6451.jpg Sour Kush!
IMG_6445.jpg Bubba Kush, this is the last of this strain for me. Decent high, definitely beautiful phenotype, but honestly not stinky enough for me. More earthy than I like.
IMG_6463.jpg I love multi-tiered drying racks.
IMG_6448.jpg Sour Kush...
IMG_6467.jpg Aaaand more Sour Kush.

I’m very happy with this harvest. The weights were a little lower than last round but overall respectable, around a pound and a quarter. I certainly can’t complain about the quality of the end product, and pre-cured sampling indicates some super stoney, tasty stuff. I can’t wait for a fully cured bowl :)

In related news, I’m headed to the Cannabis Cup in Denver this weekend! Should be some good times :) If I have my head about me enough I’ll take some pics to share.

Some pics from day 10 of flower. A couple of shots of one of my lights, Black Dog Platinum XL U.

IMG_6476.jpg
IMG_6478.jpg

And one of the garden...

IMG_6474.jpg Sour Diesel, tall and lanky along the right side of the pic, Sour Kush in the middle and back left, OG Kush in the front left.

Nothing really notable to share at this point, everything is going as well as can be expected.

As I mentioned before, I went to the Cannabis Cup in Denver last weekend.... in a word, intense. There were so many people there! I actually didn’t take many pictures because I was too busy trying to navigate the tides of people, but here are a few.

IMG_6508.jpg A little perspective of how packed it was... it was like this alllll day.
IMG_6509.jpg Another view of the epic chaos :)

Despite the crowds, it was an amazing weekend. A great reminder of the changes happening as we speak...

Also, for anyone who's seen my youtube page (a very homemade side project), I’ll have a new video up in the near future based around a six month time lapse of my garden. I’m pretty proud of it and I’d love to hear what everyone thinks.

Here are some pics from week 3 of flower.

IMG_6489.jpg Lights on...
IMG_6491.jpg And lights off. I wanted you to be able to see the garden without the purple haze of LED. I sometimes forget that these are green plants I’m working with.
IMG_6494.jpg And the requisite Sour Kush pic.

The Cannabis Cup inspired me to try out some new genetics; I like strong and skunky strains, and I’d appreciate any suggestions.

Finally! I have something to show you all.

Last weekend I pulled down 8 plants for harvest and took some pictures along the way.
Here is my flower area before removing the plants. I think you can tell which are about to go...

A close up of the girls on their way out. I run a ~10 week cycle, and flush very thoroughly. The girls on the left are under a universal platinum XL.

Some close ups before harvest...
View attachment 25140437 week Sour Diesel cola, filling out nicely
View attachment 2514044 7 week Bubba Kush; these girls get really purple towards the end. One of the more beautiful plants I've seen.
View attachment 2514045 This is pure MMJ porn... doubled headed Super Lemon Haze beauty, some of the stickiest stuff I've handled. Just wish it had a little higher yield.
View attachment 2514047Fully flushed OG Kush, 10 weeks
View attachment 2514048 Fully flushed 10 week Sour Diesel
View attachment 2514050 ...more Diesel...
View attachment 2514051 Here's the flower area after harvest. Everything has been moved over from under an old platinum XL to the universal platinum XL. I have some clones in veg right now, a little slow to show some roots but hopefully they'll take soon and I can get some more flipped over to flower.

I'll post soon with some weights from this harvest. It seemed pretty heavy compared to what I usually get, I must be doing something right :)

Hope you enjoy my grow! Questions, comments, and critique always welcome.
Nice plants!!! Quick question I'm currently growing some og kush and seen these pics of yours and was wondering how many weeks they took total from 12/12 flip, ????
