Males in my grow room... Is one or two fine for seeds?

So i got 4 plants going, i'm pretty sure 2 are Females and the other 3 are Males..
We will find out in a couple weeks..

Anyways, I need some seeds so i guess i would leave a male plant with the rest to produce seeds right?

Anyone wanna help me out on my grow with me? That would be cool if someone who knew what they were doing could tag along on this with me.

If anyone wants pics, just ask. Thanks :)

Damn, Well I have bred some killer strains in the past. All have been super. You are correct, you need a male and a female to produce seeds. The prob is , you also need a room with negitive air pressure and a filter. You also have to remember that pollen can be viable up to a year, so plastic is your friend. When I bred seeds, I would have one small room (2'x2') encased in white visquine. After my girl gave up her seeds I would spray the room down with mild soapy water. See when water comes into contact with pollen it deactivates the spore. I am glad to help ya with anything I can! Pics are always good too!

if your not looking to seed your whole crop which you will by leaving even one male in your room, then take the males out flower them separately. Males will mature much faster then your females so when the pollen sacks pop open take a brush or q-tip and collect some of the pollen. Then carefully brush the pollen on a couple of white hairs that will start to produce on your females and a seed will form in that particular area.

Save your pollen, and apply (as John Jacob says) with a brush a couple of weeks before harvest, on to your strongest (ie. most vigorous) female...

Presto! Seeds that didn't cost £2-£15...;)

All the advice you're getting on selective pollinating is good -- separate the males, collect some pollen, then apply to one bud site on a female. You will get a ton of seeds without seeding all your bud on all the females. Do not try to pollinate with a fan running -- it'll blow all over the place.

When you're ready, there are some threads here about selective pollinating. You will want to do it toward the beginning of the flowering cycle -- 15 to 30 days in.

The male's pollen might be ready within a week of flowering, so be ready to collect it and then maybe wait two more weeks before pollinating the female.
